Rio Shanti is a yoga center, spa, and store for nurturing your self and your loved ones. Janet's products are her own formulas, lovingly and excellently prepared and only available there. There's a yoga class every day. Massages, facials, pedicures and lovingly offered. More

The lodge I stayed in was very far from town and internet, so I wandered into Rio Shanti to beg for wifi. What I found was very nice folks, with a variety of services and lovely locally made gifts. Their shop smelled lovely- full of soaps and lotions and made me think of home. They were very nice and helpful! More

My husband and I both went for reflexology to help us try to relax and switch off after a busy week on the move. Karen was excellent and the treatment was fantastic. A lovely place, well worth a visit. More

I attended a workshop at Rio Shanti called "Sustainable Ecstasy" led by Janine Renee. I signed up for Janine’s “Sustainable Ecstasy” workshop with very little knowledge of what the workshop would actually be. I expected an enjoyable experience, some good woman-to-woman bonding and maybe some chocolate eating. What I didn’t expect, and what I got, was to learn tools that... More

My partner and I recently spent a week at Casa de Amor and we loved it! It is a casita located adjacent to the home of Michael and Janet Jenkins who were warm and wonderful hosts. They are delightful people who gave us invaluable information that enriched our stay. Casa de Amor is lovely with a bank of windows that... More

My daughter and I enjoyed browsing through the gift shop while waiting for my massage appointment with Janet. The shop is bright, sunny and welcoming. As a world traveler I have had massages in many different spas and this was the very best. The music selection was soothing, the colors joyful, and the expertise of the masseuse unparalleled. If your... More

I took a yoga class here on one of my last days in Santa Elena. Class rate was on par with the cost in the US ($12, I think) and the teacher took us through a nice 1.5 hour vinyasa class. They have mats to borrow -- they were a little grubby from use but they provide towels and mat... More

we went to Rio Shanti based on the rave reviews. Janet was very nice and welcoming and we heard that she gave great massages. Unfortunately, she did not massage us. My husband and I had two other masseuses and they were disappointing. We have received massages all over the world and I would say these were overpriced and under delivered. More

Bruiser is a little white fluffy dog that I couldn't stop petting. Didn't have a massage there but I'll bet my stress levels went down anyway with that sweet pooch! Cute shop with friendly owners and hand-painted tiles, among other gift items. More
