An awesome hike through the jungle with Jay. We say several falls and trekked throughout the canopy to see an amazing and unspoiled view of the area. Jay did a great job explaining and helping us along. This is a good length hike with some strong up and downward treks. Wear suitable gear!

We went for 11 days to Mauritius and explored the island with our three teenagers. I read that the visit to the seven cascades must be something marvelous. Although I do not like hiking a lot I asked Jay, the best guide as I read if he is available. He was very helpful and we arranged the trip together. When... More

Les 7 cascade or 7 colour earth is very interesting place to visit, having a big waterfall. Its is wonderful when sun is bright. 2 giant tortoise is also having fun at that place.

During our stay second half of November 2014 we booked a half day with Jay for hiking at the 7 Cascades. At the meeting point Jay didn't show up but he sent his colleague Prakash. Prakash guided us through the 4 highest waterfalls which was a spectacular experience even for 2 Norwegians who are spoiled with great waterfalls. What positively... More

This trek to the 7 waterfalls through the beautiful national park was beyond doubt one of the highlights of our family trip. The terrain is tough, slippery and intense at times but perfect for our kids who enjoyed every moment of the challenge (13, 10 & 8 years old). We had the charming Jay Tannoo (jaytannoo@yahoo.com) to guide us through... More

You would be better off trekking in the National Park then walking to this overcrowded, touristy area with the waterfall and coloured earth. Coloured earth is a lesson in how to create hype around what essentially looks like a quarry. The waterfall is pretty, but for a much more in-nature experience...go for a trek in the Black River Gorges National... More

Just spent half a day hiking through four of the seven waterfalls and had a blast. From the previous reviews, I contacted Jay Tannoo by email and scheduled a hike with him starting at 9:30 am. We brought nothing with us except a camera and change of clothes, which I left in the car. Jay graciously carried our picnic lunch... More

Visiting the Seven Cascades was the best part of our holiday. The highlights being hiking, swimming, picnicing and learning about the fascinating flora and fauna of this beautiful area. Finding a good guide is important. Jay Tannoo guided us on short notice after I found his details on a forum and contacted him. He is friendly and speaks several languages.... More

Through our hotel concierge we got the contact details of Prakash (tel 57608367) and agreed to meet him at the bus terminal in Henrietta the next day. He arranged everything for picnic; we just had to bring our swimming clothes, a towel, sun cream and insect repellent. The trip brought us to all waterfalls, twice we have been swimming. Prakash...
