We spent an interesting time looking round the castle, but the Gardens were very impressive with the lake and walled garden plants. There is an excellent Cafe also. More

The sheer grandeur of this place is hard to take in and when you consider it dates back to the Georgin times and you can experience it as it was back then. The size of the Castle will have you wondering as you walk round all the various rooms. You end up in the big main room of the Castle... More

I've visited many castles in England and was looking forward to visiting Blair Castle upon recommendation from a co-worker, who said that it was her absolute favourite castle. I had high expectations! Upon entry, though, it felt more like a hunting lodge with wall to wall weapons. The hallways were lined with weapons and deer antlers (enough already!) and they... More

I could have visited this estate every day. I went pony trekking with Debbie costing £28 for the hour. You are paired with a beautiful Highland Pony and given good quality equipment and trek across the vast and beautiful estate for an hour. The grounds and garden are out of this world and the staff are all extremely friendly -... More

Castlse not usually my thing but had hoped the grounds were free admission or a small donation - I have no issues with an admission fee being charged for the castle itself but £5 to look round the grounds is a little excessive. More

We visited early July and had a fantastic time. The castle is stunning and with 32 rooms open for viewing is excellent value for money. There are plenty of staff around the castle who are very knowledgeable so you can tour individually asking questions when you need, without being hurded round on a guided tour. The cafe is superb and... More

Not really my thing to look around castles and stuff. However i had a really good time at Blair castle. I had booked the Attic tour, more on this later, so spend the first couple of hours exploring the house / castle itself. I have too say all the staff were very friendly and so helpful. The 30 or so... More

We were looking forward to Blair Atholl Castle - looked really romantic in all the guides we had read before hand. But disappointed with the reality, a little shabby throughout and it appears the whole building (on view) requires a considerable amount of time & money in refurbishment. It struck both of us that we were just token visitors -... More
