It's not the resorts fault when the snow doesn't come but it really does have very little alternative to skiing if there is little to no snow. Trips to other slopes can become expensive. No half day passed availble when buying on a day by day basis because of the conditions.

Stayed in the Hameus de Airelles (sorry for spelling!) which was right next to the slope.. Literally! Just walk out the hotel onto the slopes. Montgenevre has two different areas on two mountain sides, a park and two border cross areas. Unfortunately when I stayed, there was a lot of snow falling. It made the off piste in most areas... Montgenevre is a high resort so the snow conditions were superb. Loads of snow, loads of sunshine (on the whole). The best skiing holiday we have had by far! The resort was pretty full judging by the bars and restaurants in the evenings, but we never had to wait at any lifts. In fact the slopes were really empty. There... More

I worked here briefly in 2011 and back then, it was a brilliant little resort. It has a fair night life, as a small town it had approx 3 decent bars worthwhile going to. The restaurants were ok, nothing exciting. However, the slopes and ski runs were brilliant. It had a good combination of Green - Black runs - so... More

A resort with beautiful views and snow sure to the end of the season - we went 5-11 April and there was still plenty of snow despite the deep blue skies and warm air. Best suited to those who enjoy leisurely wide runs, less for those after icy blacks. We loved it.

Very good resort for beginners or intermediate skiers ,lots of great blues and reds, not many blacks cant comment on off piste,Monty is not for younger crowd or for glamour ,prices of food and drink are low ,people are friendly ,scenery is great, it's all about the skiing if that's what you want.

I have skied all over the world and this piste is a winner it was so quiet never had to wait for a lift once and everyone is very friendly. We enjoyed going from Montgenvre and skiing round to Italy and back. there are a couple of lifts which are slow but a good chance to take in the views.

Great for all levels of skier but poor provision of food and drink on the slopes. Good variety of lifts
