A resort with beautiful views and snow sure to the end of the season - we went 5-11 April and there was still plenty of snow despite the deep blue skies and warm air. Best suited to those who enjoy leisurely wide runs, less for those after icy blacks. We loved it.

Very good resort for beginners or intermediate skiers ,lots of great blues and reds, not many blacks cant comment on off piste,Monty is not for younger crowd or for glamour ,prices of food and drink are low ,people are friendly ,scenery is great, it's all about the skiing if that's what you want.

I have skied all over the world and this piste is a winner it was so quiet never had to wait for a lift once and everyone is very friendly. We enjoyed going from Montgenvre and skiing round to Italy and back. there are a couple of lifts which are slow but a good chance to take in the views.

Great for all levels of skier but poor provision of food and drink on the slopes. Good variety of lifts

This is the best ski resort near Turin for beginners. You can ski beginner trails from the peak to the base. It is really an exceptional place for beginners which is hard to find in this region. The ski school staff was great with my wife and 2 year old daughter; both who had never been on skis before.

Our first time skiing and this was perfect. A wide variety of slopes and attractions in the surrounding area, this is definitely an area where beginners can feel welcome. Yet we met many who had kept returning here too! The snow is the best in the area as it gets more than the surrounding resorts and holds it for longer.... More

The resort is good for beginners and more experienced skiers. There are only a limited numbers of bars and restaurants so nightlife is quiet. There is a spa being built due to open in December 2014. The resort is not overcrowded outside school holidays so it is pleasant to ski there. An experience skier might get bored however as the... More

Loved the range of tree-lined pistes for all abilities. The snow cross was fun, and areas of 'safe' off piste skiing. Really good easy lifts, and very little queuing.

Montgenevre while not in the A list of resorts has a lot to recommend it. The resort starts at 1800m ( make sure you have chains for your tyres if you rent a car as we found out to our cost). Slopes are suitable for beginners/ early intermediates who can ski from the top of the Serre Thibauld lift on... More
