We have just returned from a fantastic first family ski holiday with our 5 and 8 year olds. Lots of plus points about this resort: Quiet resort: family-friendly resort with bakeries, bars, restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. Enough there to keep us all happy - a particular favourite was Le Graal Bar - yet an easy walk for... More

Montgenevre is a beautiful resort right on the Italian border. It is ideal for beginners, full of wide green and blue runs. Not so much on offer for intermediate and advanced skiers. It seems like an ideal resort for families. 2 ski school areas with magic carpets and a zoned off section for sledging. No t-bars!!

We have skied for a number of years with our family and friends but more recently just as a family. We have been to Montgenevre for the last 4 years and can’t stop going back. We have skied at Montgenevre and Claviere as well as day trips in Italy on the Via Lattea and in France at Serre Chevalier which... More

One of the navette drivers seems to think it's not necessary to visit all the bus stops. He asks passengers on the bus if they want to get off at either end of the route, and if not, he doesn't bother to go there. Unfortunately I was waiting to get ON the bus at one end of the village, and... More

The facilities and ski lifts are good and there are many green and blue slopes. For more intermediate to advanced skiers I would not recommend more than a day here.

What a great little resort, lots o tree lined runs and lots of off piste. The runs where very quite with no long lift lines, my only complaint would be there needs to be a gondola from the bottom to the top. The lift pass was great value allowing you to ski/board in six different resorts in either Italy or... More

Excellent little resort with a good variety of runs especially those linking Clavier. For this that like touring then links into the Milky Way provide extended opportunity. Only a couple of average mountain restaurants on the Montgenevre slopes though more when you venture into Italy. Nice little market in Montgenevre selling meats, cheeses, etc but beware pickpockets. Interestingly my wife... More

We found Montgenevre to be a good sized resort for intermediates for a week's skiing. There are a good variety of runs and plenty of lifts although some are incredibly slow. L'observatoire in particular - it's quicker to take the Querelay drag lift next to it! Les Gondrans is a high speed chair as is Serre Thibaud. We did seem... More
