We really enjoyed our trip around Madu River and visiting Cinnamon Island and seeing the cinnamon process, visiting a small buddhist temple on one of the inhabited islands. Amazing wildlife all round - better when natural as opposed to tourist 'planned' viewings. Great and friendly guide - who jumped into the river to retrieve my sunglasses when they fell off... More

Beautiful and one of a kind. For those nature lovers you will definitely enjoy this boat ride. We were lucky enough to see a big iguana swimming by the river and a big black moneky on a tree. The good part was the cinnamon garden and the fish foot massage. You get to pet a crocodile as well so it's... More

We did a mid day cruise in the river and passed by various points along the banks - the buddhist temple, the cinnamon island, ruins of an old hindu temple etc. We went thro a couple of mangrove caves - a man made cave where the mangroves have been cut to make way for the boat. Considering that mangroves are... More

This safari constitues 64 natural islands...Mangrove caves are pretty nice when you go through them. Get to see animals as water monitor lizards, birds, and fishing nets. Fish spa is also an option for interested people. One has to be careful when choosing the boat, and negotiate hard, else there is a huge possibility of being taken for a ride.

I was a bit concerned by some of the negative reviews, I really don't like being hassled to buy stuff (spice island) or pay to hold an animal etc. So when we got on the boat we were pretty explicit about what we wanted to do and not do. We were the only people on our boat which may have... More

The actual river cruise was OK but not alot to particularly see. It was more interesting when we stopped at an island and watched what people created with coconut hair, cinnamon sticks etc.
