I wanted to hike a mountain in Dominica and chose Morne Anglais because I knew I would have a good chance of having a clear view down to Roseau. We started by the Giraudel Primary School and hiked up to the top. It was muddy, very muddy, but worth it. The view was amazing. You might want to wear light... more

Morne Anglais is a superb hike - you start from about 1,8000ft above the village of Giraudel, and climb through lush rainforest to the top. There are spectacular views from the summit (it's alost 4,000ft), and fortunately it's far less often shrouded in clouds than taller mountain in Dominica. Allow about 3 hours for the round trip.
