I have taken my twins riding here, the staff and people could not have been more accomodating as it was a first for my boys, the first ride we went on was in 2012 first time ever on horse back and we went on the hour ride, the twins were over the top! Second trip was with two friends from... More

What an amazing experience this was, a combination of Horse and Teepee trail, led me to the Honora bay riding stables where i met kyla - most kind and hardworking woman i've met on that island. She's the one that works 24/7 on these stables and puts her heart and soul in this place, no wonder that she's so proud... More

We had such a great time with Kyla and Destiny at HBRS. They were able to accommodate our girls to have pony rides and experiences. They were very patient and made it a very memorable experience for the kids. Well work the money...thanks to everyone there.

this is honestly the best stable on the Island. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the horses are well trained and loved. You are certain to have an amazing time here. The safety of the rider and horses are top priority, and it is a great way to see the beauty of the Island. Whether you are going on... More

As not very experienced riders from Holland, Kyla gave us a wonderfull experience. She explained very clearly what she expected us to do, gave tips to become a better rider, kept a sharp look upon safety and gave us enough challenges to make this a very memorable ride. We went for the two hours ride. Beautifull scenery en lookouts en... More

I have been on many horseback rides and by far this was the most disappointing experience had here. Kyla the owner took us on the ride and was rude and unpleasant. I wasn't able to enjoy the scenery because of her. She wouldn't allow any type of freedom. It was over priced and couldn't imagine ever doing this again at... More

My sincerest apologies that you were not happy with your ride. At HBRS our goal is safe and fun riding, and therefore larger amounts of freedom on the horse and trails is restricted, for the safety of horses, riders and insurance purposes. My goal is to share the wonderful feeling of riding with customers and occasionally I can become frustrated,... More

A great way to see the beauty of Manitoulin Island. Safety is top priority and the horses are well cared for. If you have ridden before, I recommend the overnight ride (there are plenty of shorter trail options too). I am from Colorado and had never been to Ontario before, and am so glad I have this memory. Dinner, breakfast... More

This was my second time horseback riding, and while I enjoyed it, I would have appreciated more patience from the staff. The leader showed impatience when I didn't know where to put my leg as she adjusted my stirrups, and was very short with a young girl who couldn't get her horse to start walking, and later snapped at her... Kyla and her girls were amazing! Went twice this past weekend because once just wasn't enough! They were extremely helpful and patient in their instructions before and during the ride to ensure the safety and comfort of both riders and horses. Will be back as many times as I can possibly get there!

Kyla Jansen is an high energy fun cowgirl who shares her love of horses and entertains her patrons in good country fashion. Safety First does not impede the entertainment factor there.
