This is a small place but very beautiful. There are good transport links to take you to areas of interest.

A fantastic hidden place, surely a MUST GO! Most of the people who visits Olden goes there on a cruise ship, that´s because Olden is such a small village hidden among great mountains, with lakes/sea turquoise colored. You must take a tour bus to have a nice ride there. There you can also visit a great and beautiful glacier and... More

We visited Olden on a cruise and spent a day there. The location is stunningly beautiful. Olden itself is a tiny village, but it is well worth walking up into the town to visit the very pretty Old Church - a typical Norwegian wooden church. If you get a chance to tie a coach trip up to the Briksdal Glacier,... More

We visited Olden in May as part of a cruise. We had a combined coach and boat trip along the Lovatnet lake to visit the Kjenndalen glacier. Fortunately we had good weather and were rewarded with spectacular views. There were a couple of photo stops on the way to the glacier, which we reached after travelling for about an hour.... More

The town of Olden does not have much except pretty scenery in the area. The glacier is the best attraction and it is a beautiful drive.

Went as part of a cruise, did book a coach trip from the ship, got to see some view points on this. I believe the open top bus and troll car are cheaper to do in Olden. All the pictures you see are just what the place is like.

Olden is a nice little place, not much to do but great sights to see. A few little shops and somewhere to get a cup of tea. A nice walk along the fjord is recommended.

This lovely little Church was open when we visited earlier this month. Few people off the cruise ships bother to walk this way but the Church is a small, but interesting, example of a wooden cruciform Norwegian Church. The pews all have doors and some are carved and a few have initials, presumably of the families who sat there. The... More
