There is not really any thing to do here except to take in the breath taking views. There is tour bus that takes you to a viewing point of the glacier that takes about 1 hour there and back. (The viewing point is several miles away, overlooking a lake and is worth doing) In olden there is a small super... More

Turn right from terminal and proceed into town. Coop good to pick up a snack. Head left out of town towards church. Carry on along road. (The Norwegian drivers take extra care to go around you). At the second bridge, modern concrete, cross river and follow path/gravel road around lake. Return to main road and return to Olden. About 4... More

But very picturesque, with a church to walk to and a souvenir shop! Plenty of lovely walks to do of you are able. Went on a panorama coach tour which was lovely, going to a Stryn hotel for coffee and cake.

Briskdalbreen is nearby, and the little town of Olden is gorgeous. If you're in the area you need to stop by!

Looking over the Landscape the first thing you are attracted to is what appears to be an old red church nestled in the valley on the road leading out of town. We trekked down the road that had olde homes and structures with grass covered roofs. The Church was built in the 1930's. We should have continued farther down the... More

People may only remember Briskdalbreen where you can do glacier walk there, but ones cannot forget Olden the front gate of Briskdalbreen. Olden is really like heaven in earth, the stunning view along the way to Briskdalbreen, the Old Church, the fjord, glacier lakes as well as the glacier river. We should stay here 2 nights and get tracking from... More

Olden is a quiet little place with just a few coffee shops some small retail outlets some lovely views and a must view church. Just go inside have a look at this super little church you don't have to be religious just enjoy and smile at the picture of the church elders!!!

Not joining one of the pricey excursions, we had a leisurely wander about, enjoyed the sun and had a coffee and took in different views of the fjord and where our ship was berthed. There's not a lot to Olden but like most of the fjords would look more spectacular with a covering of snow!

Spectacular scenery in Olden, Norway. Great time of the year to cruise the fjords, very peaceful. Great place to visit. On holiday with family.
