The owner, Herbie, is very standoffish and if you dare to complain he sort of snorts at you.... Logistics were rather poor, first being told I could do only two dives on the second day because I had to take the boat back and then ending up waiting two hours on the beach for the other divers to do their... Thank you for your positive feedback on Chris; we are proud to call him a member of the Scuba Coiba team as he is a very patient, calm and incredibly knowledgeable divemaster and instructor. As you state, you were fortunate as to tag along on a multi-day trip. Because of your personal budgetary constraints you proposed to provide your own... More

We just spent 4 days diving Isla del Coiba and had a great experience with Scuba Coiba. Visibility varies and the current Is strong sometimes, but you get to swim with manta rays, spotted eagle rays, pelagic sting rays, sharks, frog fish, eels, the fabulous flabalina and much more. The crew at Scuba Coiba took very good care of us on... Altough Herbie seems most interested in money, and definitely very far from giving you a nice service, or a smile at least, Luca and Cris, the divemasters are really great, and they did all what the could in order me to enjoy the dives in Coiba. I was diving with Luca, a high experienced divemaster, who took me to see... More

First the good things: - Diving was really great! It was our first time diving so we did the Discover Scuba... So far, one of the best experiences we have had! We loved diving & want to get our certificate this year. - The guide, an Italian, was very friendly. - Coiba is beautiful!!! Amazing really! Now the bad thing...... More

I am 60 and my friend 57. We have been diving for over 35 years, but we don't go often. We are recreational divers. We were the only 2 guests at Scuba Coiba. We were taken out in an open outboard boat for the 2 hour ride to Coiba Island. They had no life vests, no radio and the helper... More

We apologize that you didn't have an ideal experience diving with us in Coiba National Park. Weather is a very unpredictable force; we postponed your dive on your first scheduled day due to incredibly bad weather and as you both still insisted on diving the second day, our captain agreed and took you. Unfortunately, there are often very strong currents... More

Just back from a rainy season 3-day dive trip to Coiba National Park with Scuba Coiba. October isn't the best time to go in terms of surface travel (rain and wind can make boating to and from dive sites long, chilly and sometimes uncomfortable), but the water is still warm, the visibility still acceptable for a nutrient-rich, multi-thermokline sea ...... everyday of diving is a good day but if visibility makes a difference when you dive, then this shouldn't be towards the top of your list of places to dive. nice fish & coral etc but disappointed in the vis. plus overpriced. good chance of seeing whales along the way, dolphins too but the boat captain doesn't bother to slow... Took a 3 day trip out of Santa Catalina with Scuba Coiba to The Coiba Islands. This is the oldest of the three dive shops that you will find in this small isolated village, all of them have to make the best of what they can get, so don't expect 5 star facilities. Saw 5 Whale Sharks just 30 mins... More
