My family and I did the Discover Scuba Course and it was a terrific experience. Our guide Cedric was very nice and helpful, and he taught us all we needed to know to feel safe underneath the water for the first time. We did two dives and saw plenty of fish, eels, rays, and sharks. I would recommend Scuba Coiba... More

The man in charge, Nick, told us after we payed that the divers have preority and when you go for snorkling your are 'lucky' that you can join. On the boat we saw an whale and that was pretty amazing. But when we arrived at Coiba National Park, all the attention went to the divers. Nick was busy with 8... More

We are sorry to hear, that you have been disappointed and gave only 2 out of 5 points. Asking the people on the trip and dive instructor Nik, you seemed to be pleased and did not mention anything you did not like on or after the trip. But, yes, you are right, we are a dive center, we cater mainly... More

Me and my girlfriend went on a 4 multiday trip with Scuba Coiba on June 15th. First of all, the diving was amazing. Huge schools of fish, lots of sharks, rays, turtles, seahorses, frogfish, octopus and so on. The accomodation was nice and clean, with A/C and private bathrooms in each dorm. Coiba is such a beautiful place, with plenty... More

Coiba is definitely a wonderful place for diving: we saw large schools of fish, sharks and turtles. The staff is nice. However I don't recommend diving with Scuba Coiba, because of the old equipment and a lack of safety awareness.

I’ve had a hard writing this review. I don’t like saying bad things about good people, and Herbie Sunk, who operates Scuba Coiba is definitely good people. Unlike the management of many Panamanian operations, Hebie was very responsive to emails and sent us a lot of information that was valuable in making the trip more enjoyable. He also made an... More

When we went to Santa Catalina, we knew we had to go see Coiba. My boyfriend and I had never scuba'd before, so Scuba Coiba recommended that we do the "Discover Scuba" dive. This was a great way to try scuba safely and we immediately became hooked. Our guide/teacher, Sebastian, was the perfect scuba instructor. He was so patient and... More

I took my family to Santa Catalina in August 2013. Herbie, the proprietor of Scuba Coiba, was responsive to my emails. Once we arrived, he was friendly, and his entire staff were accommodating and helpful. That was particularly good given that we are all novice divers. Our preferred divemaster was Rebecca. She was very friendly and understanding of our novice... More

Our group of 5 (myself, wife, 2 teenage children and father-in-law) had a wonderful time on our 2 day/1 night dive trip with Scuba Coiba. Herbie was very responsive in his emails when planning the trip. Rebecca was delightful in helping us get checked in. We did 6 dives in 2 days with Vincente who was helpful and knowledgeable. You... Sadly, we saw no whale sharks, but we did see lots of other sharks! And huge schools of fish. We spent 2 days diving with Scuba Coiba and enjoyed every minute. The shop was professional and our equipment was top notch. Vicenzo was a great dive master and we loved diving at Coiba--we were the only boat at all of... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed diving with Scuba Coiba on a 3-day/2-night trip to the island. We have dived all over the world at everything from luxe dive resorts and liveaboards to backpacker-type places, and Scuba Coiba fully lived up to our expectations and perhaps even exceeded them. Herbie responded quickly to our initial inquiry, and booking the trip... More
