Jost Vineyards is situated on over 100 acres by the beautiful North Shores Sunrise Trail. With the largest and longest operating winery in the Atlantic region, the Jost family pioneered the industry, supporting the majority of today's independent vineyard operations. Their estate bottled whites, reds and specialties are lovingly crafted in the cellars and are available for sampling, sale and shipping from the winery store. Hike, bike and picnic with spectacular vistas of the vineyards and beautiful beaches of the Northumberland coastline. The area enjoys a mezzo climate with more days of sun than anywhere else in Atlantic Canada. Enjoy local cheeses with a perfectly paired wine on the licensed terrace and take a vineyard tour. If you are not able to make the drive, Jost wines can be discovered at most local restaurants, liquor stores and your favorite neighbors back deck.

We always love visiting Jost winery when in Malagash. This time we enjoyed seeing the renovations that had been done since our last visit. Very nice! We were entertained by a knowledgeable and polite young man that answered all our questions concerning the wine that we tasted.

While not located in the Wolfville area as the majority of NS wine producers are, the Jost Vineyards are still very much worth the drive. Jost is the largest wine producer in NS and produces some amazing wines of traditional vitis vinifera varietals as well as newer hybrid varietals designed to fluorish in our more northern climates. As a huge... More

We visited in the middle of the day. After trying the free wine samples, each of us purchased a bottle of wine. The design of the building is delightful. Very good wines at a decent price.

Driving back from Moncton to Halifax we decided to come back this way on a whim and were so glad we did. I had the lobster sliders and my husband had a chicken panini and I am a huge fan of the Selkie...its fantastic! Kind and thoughtful staff and just a really great place to stop if you can. We... We were pleasantly surprised how good the wine here was. We also ate a delightful lunch on the patio. The food was great! We purchased several bottles of wine to be shipped home ( can't wait for it to arrive at our house! ) .

A little out of the way, off the beaten track, but the visit is well worth the drive. Great room for tasting wines, great selections and good wine prices. Average glass of wine was $7, but very nice atmosphere to enjoy the glass of wine. They had outside seating , but we decided to enjoy the inside.

Jost Vineyards in Malagash (northern Nova Scotia) is well worth a look (and a sip) when in the area. They tell me it is the largest and the oldest vineyard in Nova Scotia, and while one of about 12 in the province, I believe it is the only one in Northern NS. There is a small dining area (bistro) inside... More

Our road trip through Nova Scotia, included a stop at Jost Vineyards.I had let my kids plan our itinerary from start to finish fitting in any of my special requests. Jost vineyards wasn't one of mine at the time, as I had never been a big wine drinker. It was a beautiful day and our stop was made into a... More

Stopped here while on vacation. Was a treat to try the wines which were very good. Sat down and had Sangria's and Lobster sliders which were very good. A neat stop and had we had more room, we would have stocked up on the wines!!
