The Rex is an experience worth repeating again and again, there is nothing better than watching a classic movie with a very reasonably priced glass of wine and a cheese plate whilst sitting in comfort.

I love coming to the Rex whenever I see something I like on the list, it such a special experience not your ordinary cinema trip. (I always like to try and get a table at the bottom!) Such a beautiful venue with lovely staff and plenty of good films! Will definitely be back soon!

special venue, always a great experience at the Rex. Nice spacious seats and a real charm. However no one seems to man the box office phone line - which is frustrating when trying to book tickets!

Visited The Rex today to see The Lady in the Van. Session was sold out but the theatre didn't feel crowded at all. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food and drink served by conscientious staff. Altogether a very positive experience!

I always love a trip to the beautiful Rex - doesn't matter to me if the film is good or not, it's always an enjoyable night out.

"Berko" as is known by the locals is a charming town, with virtually everything you need. Including some great bars and an excellent cinema. Great films with a bar! Book VERY early though.

I like going to the cinema but will usually only make an effort to see movies like big anticipated blockbusters, because I figure that other films look just as good on DVD at home. However going to The Rex is not the typical cinema experience; it feels luxurious, from the entrance and concessions, to the helpful staff with flashlights guiding... More

The Rex is a fabulously renovated Art Deco cinema. With a single screen mirroring a theatre stage set, and a bar offering beverages and snacks. You can chose from either comfy armchair-like seats (4per table), just a few steps away from the bar :) or behind the bar the more traditional but still luxurious seats in rows. Either way you... Visited The Rex yesterday for the first time. We sat downstairs on one of the little tables for four. The ticket prices were reasonable but the prices at the bar were very high. The screen was like cinema screens used to be - huge, unlike the little box screens you get in the modern multiplex places. The seats, though initially... More

We had a great time visiting to see Arthur Christmas last week. My first time with my daughter and loved the comfy seats and extra legroom. A lovely experience and definitely will be back if only we can get tickets!!
