We have been fans of the Rex for years. Beautiful place, comfortable and roomy. Pleasant helpful staff. Wish the ads and trailers weren't SO long. Also if James must go on stage before the main attraction, tell him to keep it short, prepare it properly and STOP wittering

What is not to like? Huge comfortable seats with oodles of leg room, cheese platters served to your seat, a nice bar and comfy cushions to pad your back. You can't keep me away and it doesn't really matter what film is showing!

The Rex is the best cinema experience ever! Magnificently restored to its Art Deco glory,a true 'labour of love'. The staff are pleasant, the seats are very comfy, and it is nice to be able to take a drink into the auditorium in a proper glass. Generally it is quiet during the films, so altogether makes going to see a... More

Such a warm and cosy cinema, luxury seating and very relaxed. Have sat up and down but think I prefer done with the swivel comfy chairs and a table for your drink. Highly recommended. Just don't get too cosy that you doze off!!!

A beautifully restored 1930's Art Deco cinema which I feel privileged to visit on a regular basis. Upstairs you'll find a traditional cinema layout, but the seats are wide and there's plenty of leg room in all the rows apart from the one at the very back. Downstairs there are small tables and chairs rather than rows of seats. There... More

This beautiful restored 1930s cinema is a delight just to visit, let alone watch a film. The seats are the most comfortable ever and each has a drinks holder attached. Apart from the very back row, there is plenty of legroom for even the tallest person.

Sat 8th Nov - took the children to see Ghostbusters - the original 1984 movie - and we loved it. The atmosphere was great & the seats so comfortable. Then in the evening went with friends to see Gone Girl - long movie, but didn't realise - the seats are so comfy & having a few drinks & cheese &... More
