An early start meant it was a little chilly, so a jacket is needed. I strongly recommend hiring a wetsuit top, on board for an extra $10- well worth the added cost because the water is cool. First stop Molokini Crater is a great place to start the snorkel trip with fish and coral. The crew are excellent and the... More

We did the Molokini and Turtle Town snorkel excursion. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely loves what they do. We were fortunate to go on a day when the water was calm and we had a great time. It was like swimming in an aquarium! The continental breakfast and lunch were a nice touch. I'm so glad that we... Great experience for eight of us visiting Maui! We took the 7:30 AM tour and were very impressed with how clean the boat was and how courteous the crew was. We saw many whales and were even close enough to hear them. Even had two breach right next to our boat. Our tour guide was a young lady whose name... More

We went for sunrise whale watch...it was fantastic! Clear skies and little wind made sightings of he numerous whales quite easy. The crew was so knowledgeable and obviously devoted to the preservation of the whales and they love what they do. So different from other commercial "tours" Hope to go back someday!

We had booked the photo trip in the morning and got hooked. We ended up going on four more trips including the sunset trip over a period of eight days. The crew on the boat to the people in the office were the best. We did have a potential snag on the first trip, our photo trip which was our... More

This was our first trip to Maui and we are so glad we took a cruise with Pacific Whale Foundation. We did the Sunset cocktail cruise and had a perfect night for it weather wise and calm sea. We were also lucky in that there were only about 6 - 8 couples on this cruise so it felt like our... More

I can't believe Pacific Whale Foundation has any competition - why go whale watching or snorkeling w/ a commercial, for-profit when you can go w/ a non-profit with an education and conservation mission? I went on 4 trips in one week: Molokini Wild Side (AMAZING!), a sunrise whale watch, and afternoon whale watch, and the sunset dinner cruise. All four... More

We booked a snorkeling trip to Molokini and Turtletown. Molokini had large swells so not really safe for snorkeling (I agreed!). So on to Turtletown where we snorkeled fine. Leisurely cruising and whale watching to make up for the Molokini bust. Best part of this trip is the great service, crew, and captain who did everything to make it fun... More

Maybe we got lucky since whales, ununionized, are not scripted, but we saw out of the water jumps, flapping fins, etc. The boat was clean, uncrowded, comfortable, etc.
