I'm a local and still enjoy this one. Spacious, new and spotless craft, crews are young, energetic and well informed. Sunset cruises are a good choice - the sun is a bit lower and less intense and you're back into town in time for an early dinner. (Sweaters are probably unnecessary unless it's cloudy). Whales are virtually a certainty between... More

We took the 9am trip last Saturday and saw so many whales up close that we lost count. And, there were so many calves swimming with their Moms - it was such a magnificent sight. The Naturalists and Captain taught us a lot about the whales themselves. A highlight was when they put a microphone underwater so we could hear... More

Just got back from Molikini on the Wild Side. We have done this trip three times and have never been disappointed. Today there were 27 of us. The whale watching was some of the best I have seen. We actually saw a pod of 10 whales. There was lots of fin slapping, head thrusts, and even a few breaches. We... More

We booked the Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkel trip. The boat held 130 people, but we had less than 80 so there was plenty of room to spread our. We had a pleasant boat ride to Molokini while eating a breakfast of fresh fruit, banana bread and doughnuts, with plenty of juice and hot coffee. And we saw so many... More

January is a great season for whale-watching, and the Pacific Whale Foundation did an exceptional job of educating and informing us about the humpback whales that are all over Maui county. We went on the sunrise tour, and the boat itself was comfy and had coffee, tea, and snacks to help us wake up. The staff on the boat was... More

Went on the 6:30 am tour. Lots of whales plus a beautiful sunrise and very smooth water! Our first whale watch was a wonderful experience. Looking forward to going again.

We booked a 2 pm departure. There was a moderate crowd on the ship, but less than capacity. Once we got a few minutes out of the harbor, the sightings started, and continued every few minutes for two hours. We saw whales of all ages, doing all kinds of beautiful moves. To top it off, on the way back in,... More

Our whale watching experience was terrific! We went out on a 8am trip (before the trade winds picked up in the afternoon) and saw so many whales! It wasn't even peak season yet. The guides were very informative and even had a little separate teaching session for kids during the boat ride. We went out on one of the larger... More

Our final day on the island was a whale watching experience with Pacific Whale Foundation. We chose them from many options because of their protection and approach to whales in general. Crew were very knowledgeable and competent. Winds were high and ride was rougher than normal but we always felt safe. Saw many whales including a mother and baby. Unforgettable... More
