Our family of 5 (kids-20,17,14) spent a morning on the Alii Nui for the Deluxe Snorkel Cruise at Molokini Crater and Coral Gardens on 7/23/15. It was more fun and more amazing than we had anticipated! We did not use their transportation, so we arrived at the marina on our own, filled out the liability forms, and set off right... More

Took my teenagers on a morning snorkel cruise this week with Captain Kawika. The captain and crew were professional, efficient, multi-talented, and very friendly. While it's not cheap, it's very well done for all ages. There were many young people who were mostly interested in the bar, but the clear water and beautiful fish were the stars of the experience.

I have done lots of snorkel/sail trips in the Virgin Islands, Grand Cayman and with another Maui company. Alii Nui has been my favorite so far. We did two cruises, one to Molokini and one to Turtle Point. The vessel is lovely and has the largest head I have ever seen on a boat! The breakfast and luncheon food was... More

We had a wonderful experience on the 3 hour afternoon snorkel excursion. We had been warned by our guide book to avoid the afternoon time slot due to higher winds and a rougher ride. However, with two kids (10 and 6) we weren't sure we wanted to commit to the 5 hour morning trip so we risked the afternoon weather.... More

I'm not sure what I can add that other reviewers have not already stated. On July 25 we had the pleasure of going out on the sunset dinner cruise. The Alii Nui is beautiful and her friendly crew go out of their way to make sure you are having a wonderful time. We had no complaints about the delicious dinner... More

One of the greatest trips we ever did, we booked a snorkeling trip on the Alii Nui and it was worth every $$. The boat is beautiful, the crew fantastic and helpful and the food is also great. The trip was going to 2 different snorkeling locations and the experience was great, even if you are not 100% comfortable with... More

There were a few things on MauI I wish we didn't do. (We were not fans of the treacherous "road to Hana," and the Luau we went to was WAY overpriced, for example). But this was magical. Made the week. The captain sounds a bit surfer dude, but he runs a tight ship. You MUST do the sunset dinner cruise,... More

Our snorkeling trip aboard the Alii Nui was the highlight of our trip to Maui. It was a special experience-a beautiful catamaran, friendly, attentive, helpful captain and crew. Plenty of food and drink. Great snorkeling, manageable even by a first-timer, and the crew were very solicitous. Huka and scuba available in addition to snorkeling; rental cameras as well as a... This is our third time in two years on Alii Nui and they are by far the best on Maui and possible the best on all the islands! We've sailed and snorkeled on others on the islands and they don't stack up to the quality, service and attention to detail that Alii Nui delivers consistently. They have a full hot... More

Lots of choices on Maui for boating excursions to Molokini, but Ali'i Nui is in a class all by themselves. We chose the five hour Morning Snorkel trip to Molokini (only offered on Mondays and Sundays). The captain and crew of the Ali'i Nui provide attention to detail. They pick you up from your resort, feed you breakfast and lunch,... More
