This museum not only explains the history of the Hundred Year War and the Battle of Agincourt, but also includes a display of items like weapons from that war which one can try oneself. One also receives a guide to tour the battlefield itself. At the corner there is an observation tower to let one see the entire battlefield.

Wow. Well worth a visit. You'd think there's nothing in Agincourt (at the time of writing the one restaurant is closed) Agincourt is basically a single street but on it there is this museum. Great exhibits....reproductions of weapons and armour and some of the originals too. You can test your strength in trying to draw a simulated long bow (I failed) the best things imo are the info displays...it sets the scene brilliantly. I was there for more than 3 hours. Nice staff, too.

Ignore any reviews prior to November 2019, as this museum has been completely refurbished and revamped. It is now called '1415 Azincourt Center'. It's a very fun museum full of interactive and interesting displays. It is very well done and is not boring at all Warmly recommended.

What a wonderful little museum/heritage centre. Sitting in the quiet little village of Azincourt is a well organised, well designed and very informative centre dedicated to the great battle that took place just a stones throw away.
Last time we visited we were impressed how factually and interactive the exhibits were, but they were all written and hands on. Since our last visit it’s had a total revamp, audio visual displays now take you into the battle field, surrounded by the noises and images (some quite gruesome) of battle you get a great feel for what took place.

The tour takes you through the build up, what the village of Azincourt was like and of course the battle itself. All video, audio and written descriptions are in English and French and provide everything you need to understand the reason why it occurred in Azincourt, why the English (I’d prefer British) won the day and also the geopolitical landscape it all occurred in.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a bit of history and discovering the local countryside.

After visiting the centre you should also take the time to drive around the battlefield and use your now audio visually enhance imagination!

I can't recommend the Azincourt centre highly enough. It's terrific. Any child (over the age of say, five) would enjoy thye displays and inter-activity, while there was also more than enough for a life-long history buff such as myself. Very cheap to go in, easily found, and a delight. No cafe but that's a quibble.

This museum closed on Saturday, 1st September 2018, for 10 months so the museum can be re-developed. Nothing wrong with that, apart from the fact that the Director of the museum did not tell anyone. No mention of the intended closure on the website, nothing in the local tourist centre, just a curt note pinned outside the front door.
I turned up on Tuesday 4th September 2018 to see the note.
I had booked a short break to the area specifically to visit some of the 100 Years War sites, and checked beforehand they were all open. A total waste of time and money.
The Director should consider his/her position.

Visited this museum recently. Had no difficulty finding it as you are lead by statues of knights and bowmen showing you the way. The village is a very pretty one, the museum is well laid out and very informative on all aspects of the battle. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a short film showing the re-enactment of the battle, the animated statues of Henry V and French King, do leave a little room for improvement, but we found it added to our enjoyment, it does not take anything away from the information and correctness of the battle. The battle field is also worth a visit. From the museum turn right follow the knights and archers as they signal the way to the battle field. The actual battle field has a line of archers on one side and a row of horsemen on the other. We thought is was worth a visit.

Very nice museum in a quiet town. Might be busier next year for the 600th anniversary of the battle of Azincourt. (see website www.azincourt2015) Museum is well done with videos and displays in French & English. The one staff member on duty was very helpful. Free parking in the museum lot. After viewing the museum displays, walk through town to the battlefield.

We are staying quite close to Azincourt so it was only right that we visit the historic site. There is a museum there and it cost €20 for a family ticket or €7.50 per adult and €5.00 per child. They have good commentary whilst watching various videos and slides. Once through the video rooms there is a room full of exhibits to look at and touch. When you come out you also have the chance to walk the battlefield where it all took place.
This is a couple of hours at most but it is quite interesting.

I am surprised the French celebrate this battle as it was such an embarrassing defeat for them.

Just don't go. It is expensive and has made little attempt to recreate the battle. Displays are broken/unlabelled/ ill-lit.
