We caught the local bus from Thira (bus money collector was happy to let us know when to get off - just let them know when you are paying) and spent the afternoon wine tasting then after a tour of the winery had dinner in the restaurant. The locally produced wines were very pleasant and the atmosphere relaxing. Food was... More

We walked to this winery by chance, from the elevated town of Pyrgos, walking down the small paths between houses in Pyrgos, along the old castle, then down to the town of Exo Gonia, visited the cathedral and eventually walked further down the paths/roads, ending up at the Artemis Karamolegos Winery. There, greeted warmly by the whole staff, we started... More

It is November, but in Artemis Karamolegos’s yard it seemed like spring! Flowers and trees all over, and delicious wines in our bottles, during the wine tasting. The oenologist was really experienced, and the wines excellent. After the tour in the facilities, we enjoyed our meal in Aroma Avlis restaurant. A really clever idea, to combine authentic tastes with the... More

The young lady who poured for us was darling and efficient. Unfortunate that she had to pour such horrible wine. My husband and I are from the San Francisco Bay Area, so we know wine. This wasn't fit to drink. Seriously! It's a pretty venue, but what we tasted was not drinkable. sorry. . . .

We decided to go here following a previous trip to santo wines. Although you don't have the view of the caldera, their intimate courtyard and personal touches made this a very memorable experience. Their Aidani is my favourite- in my opinion the best wine of the whole trip! We also visited the sigalas winery in Oia, but I thought their... More

We went for the winery tour and the wine tasting. We were pleased with the cozy and neat looking place, and the fact that we were half an hour early didn't matter at all. After the delicious tasting ( three whites, one rose, two reds) we stayed over for dinner at the restaurant for some great local food! Really enjoyed... More

We visited this winery as well as many other on the island. This has not a spectacular view, but the setting is realy cozy. Wines were really good and ao was the small dishes we ordered with it. The staff was very caring and put a lot of effort into presenting the wines and answer questions. The restaurant which is... More
