The whole thing is very well organised, with their buses and such. I found it was one of the most interesting activities we've done in 3 weeks of Ireland. I absolutely loved it. The guides were good. The chauffeurs were good. The people in the visitor center were good. All were very friendly and clear. I'm glad we visited both... More

This neolithic sanctuary/funerary monument (?) has all the mistery and mystic associated with ancient religions and cults. The place is a "must vist" for anyone interested in history and if you are in Dublin, as I was, the best guide you can get is Mary Gibbons from Mary Gibbons Tours. The journey is very pleasant with a visit to the... More

We visited both Newgrange and the Hill of Tara with Mary Gibbons bus tours. Mary picks up from Central Dublin, guides the trip with full commentary the hour to Newgrange, then similar to Tara ( about 40 minutes away ) and back to Dublin, another Half hour or so. Mary obviously has a background in both archaeology and history and... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when we decided to go on this tour, but I was pleasantly surprised. There is so much history and mystery packed into this tomb. I was completely amazed the whole time. The museum and gift shop are nice, and the food at the cafe is good and reasonably priced - but the real highlight... More

Amazing. Mind blowing. Interesting. Unusual. Well organised. Well priced. Fun and fact. I have nothing bad to say about it! Typically I find this type of attraction a little dull and tag along with the family who are always enthusiastic but this attraction was brilliant and I absolutely loved it. Highly recommend

We went with 11 & 13 year old boys and they both really enjoyed it...older than Stonehenge... Guide had a lot of knowledge and spoke very clearly and with a lot of knowledge.

The visitor centre's really nice as well as the organisation. The tours to the tombs are quick but correctly dosed and nicely guided. Nice stop if you're traveling along Ireland.

If you're interested in prehistory, then this is the place to go. Be sure you get there as early as possible, because only the first 600 or so visitors will be granted entrance to Newgrange. There is a museum at the visitors center and a model of the inside of the tomb for the people who don't get to go... More

Was great learning all about the dombs and theories. The tour girl (I think her name was Niamh) was extremely friendly and an enjoyable guide, she even offered me her umbrella when it started raining as I foolishly forgot to bring my coat. Even though it was raining this was a fantastic day out and very inexpensive which we were... More

Went to newgrange with my brother and australian boyfriend, didn't think they'd be very interested, you have to go to the visitor centre and buy your tickets then have a little stroll up to the bus, walked up for the bus and there were a few workers sitting around waiting the bus driver asked for our tickets then asked where...
