We travelled up to Flamborough from Sewerby after very good advice from the visitors centre at Sewerby regarding the times of the tours. We all enjoyed the tour and the fantastic view. We will definitely return to explore the beach and surrounding area.

My children loved this, we climbed right to the top and learnt how the lighthouse worked and the history of the lighthouse. The children and I were fascinated.

Be ready for a bit of a steep climb however the tour is at your pace and very informative. You get a sense of history and are fully informed. Well worth doing

Went for the guided tour of the lighthouse Thursday. Found it really fascinating and very enjoyable. The your lasts about 20mins and cost £3.50 and worth it. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgable. Some great views of the coast from the top. Would recommend to anyone. Open daily in the summer from 12pm except Fridays.

The escorted tours operated every 30 minutes - on the hour and half hour. Very interesting tour and the view from the top was outstanding as the weather was just perfect with amazing visibility. steep steps but at a steady pace not a problem - last part up a very narrow set of steps could be a problem for some.... A short visit but worth the cash to hear of the story of the Flamborough lighthouses, especially if the money goes to such a worthwhile cause Be aware that access to the lamp room is via narrow stairs and that it can get a bit crowded up there. Despite that the views in good weather across Flamborough and along the... More

The lighthouse appears to be open mainly during English school holidays so wasn't available to us in early July. The area it's set in is park like and provides a lovely walk around the edge of the towering chalk cliffs. There is no fencing so wouldn't take young children here who might not understand the danger. There is also a... More

If you visit the East Coast you have to visit the Flamborough lighthouse. There are organised tours available into and up in the lighthouse, but just a lovely experience walking on the cliff tops taking the fresh sea air and catching some amazing views of the wildlife there especially puffins the seagulls looking after their nesting babies. Lovely experience with... More

Great to go up a lighthouse - good tour guide who made it interesting - maybe a little bit expensive but not something you would do every day
