The site itself was well worth visiting but our experience was completely ruined by the guide out there who was extremely unprofessional and did not care about preserving and respecting this site which is supposed to have some historical as well as spiritual significance. UNESCO..... if there is any way of regulating the guides out there ....please please please do... More

After years of childlessness despite a full harem of reportedly 5000 women, Emperor Akbar is said to have turned to the Sufi Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. He granted him 3 children, the first of which was his successor Jahangir. While Akbar moved his Capital to Fatehpur Sikri (where this tomb is situate) and built the original tomb in sandstone, Jahangir refurbished... Its an awesome place to visit specially if u luv going on historical trips. this place has so many stories inside, of khwaja ji's miracles and wonderful architecture like a stone window which works like AC, tunnel of Anarkali n the great Buland Darwaja. I feel that all tour guides are linked to all the touts. They try to get you to buy things to conduct wish prayers..asking us for 4000 rupees for a small offering..I know its not about the money however i felt it was a set up as the guide dropped us off to a man and than walked away. When... More

This tomb lies inside the mosque complex at Fatehpur Sikri which is run amok by touts and hawkers who ruin the experience. I would suggest to avoid this place if possible. But do visit the buland darwaza. Also note, it is not mandatory to make offerings at the tomb as stated by many of the touts. It is entirely up... More

We arrived at Fatehpur Sikri and the tomb with our driver who arranged a guide for us. We really enjoyed the tour of the Sikri side (the one with entrance ticket), it's a palace with a very interesting history. Our guide was knowledgable and interesting telling us a lot about the history. Then he took us over to the Jama... More

This area is absolutely amazing and only a 10 minute walk from Fatehpur Sikri. So I would definitely visit here if you are already in the area. However, the entire place is filled with children who will constantly harass you to buy junk. You cannot get a moment's peace to enjoy the beauty of the area. I think the experience... More

A Facinating tour thanks to Pankaj. Lightening fast as we got there late but he still managed to make it memorable. Give yourself a few hours and be sure to get Pankaj as you guide. Thankyou from the girls doing the auto rickshaw challenge to raise money for RTI More
