Since it made its last run in the late 1950s, the SS Moyie sternwheeler has been beached in Kaslo. A group of volunteers in the 1970s decided she was worth saving as a heritage attraction and since then it has been lovingly restored to near perfection. This is a great tour of an old time Steam wheeler of years gone by...the venue is well kept and very clean - well worth the visit and give the whistle a blow while you are there! More

We thought we'd do a quick 10 minute run through this lovely looking ship in Kaslo. Two hours later we knew we'd come back for more. More

The SS Moyie was one of the main method of travelling in the Kootenays. The restoration work is marvellous and the information given is most interesting. It is easy to start daydreaming and imagine yourself as either passenger or crew. This is a great family outing. More

Explore the world's oldest intact passenger and freight sternwheeler at Kaslo situated on lovely Kootenay Lake.
