To enjoy sand dunes I booked one of camps of dunes area (in Rs 6000/- for couple) and they charged Rs 2000/- extra for taxi service with overnight stay. camel riding (15 min + 15 min) to nearby dune, dinner and breakfast included in above cost. i went to this place by 6am in february 2015.fortunately the climate is cloudy .no heat.i enjoyed alot.first i enjoyed camel ride.this is my one of life time memory .bargain for camel ride.

Visited this month and its really memorable experience. If you want to see the desert and stay in swiss tent you must visit Sam Sand Dunes near Jaisalmer (40km). Where one can enjoy camel safari before sunset and Jeep safari in the morning. At night enjoy folk song, dance and dinner at camp.

Wohoo! Sam Desert is the best place in Jaisalmer(Golden City) located around 40kms from main city.The unmeasurable desert do takes you on a high! A lot of fun to be had here for sure. Get a camel ride, walk about on the sand or jump around and have some plain old fashioned childish fun. Out in the scrubbed desert is this small piece of desert with white sand dunes(sand like in dubai).Pleasant surprise. Desert in Rajasthan is full of local settlements. Viisted Sam this month and its Amazing. Its a desert range with many sand dunes and camps. One can enjoy a lote here like safari, games its. So I will say that f you are on a rajasthan trip then do visit sam.

Even as you are approaching Sam the excitement will be building up. You will see many tourists on camels leaving for the place.
