It's nice to get around by guided bus, although you have no choice to decide where to go. The local food market has some really tasty fruits, I recommend, and prices are reasonable. In the end: made it to the highest point of T-Highland.

The temple itself is nice, but nothing extraordinary. Lots of tourists, however the trip to the temple on scooter is really really nice. Nice views! If you follow the road up the mountain pass the temple you'll see even greater views and reach a cool little mountain village w/ good coffee.

Thailands highest mountain with a stunning set of gardens just before the summit containing twin temples and offering amazing views. The gardens are also well maintained and the temples very beautiful. A little bit further up the road is the top of the mountain with a sign stating as much offering photo opportunities. Well worth a visit, we hired a... More

Highly recomment the nature trail through the forest into the alpine meadow. You are basically at cloud level which was breathtaking. Trail is suitable for beginners, there are some steps but nothing to get you on all fours. My mother with joints problem completed the trail with plenty of rest. At the start of the trail you got to hire... More

Doi Inthanon is a National Park with about 150,000 acres. We went to the summit, which is the highest point in Thailand, as part of a day long tour. I wouldn't make a special trip to go there, but if you're passing by it's worth a stop. I don't recall there being any entrance fee. We just walked in. It's... More

Nice temple on a hill in the forest, many stars to climb up but it is well worth the visit, and good for your health

Having been here now for 5 months and perversely missing the snow of Scotland it was lovely to visit the peak of Doi Ithanon and luxuriate in the 12 degree temperature. Highly amusing to see the locals dressed up like they are enduring an Arctic blizzard and I'm in shorts and a polo shirt happy as Larry! Compared to mountains... More

Amazing views on top and the waterfall along the way is great as well. If you go with a motor bike to the top, make sure you fill up you gaz tank completely at the bottom near (little house accomodation)

This is one of the most beautiful places I visited in Thailand. I did the walk through the forest, it was quite exhausting but really worth it. The local guide was very nice and friendly. He gave a lot of information too. Must go!!

A few weeks ago I revisited Doi Inthanon with visiting friends. The drive from Chang Mai is easy and very enjoyable. Once in side the park the scenery just got better and better. It is a wonderful drive up the mountain to the Temple at the top. When you get up to the top there is plenty of chose for... More
