We use Espot as base for hiking in the Aiguestortes Park, we start early in the morning as we want to take some different hiking trails at the same day, we were lucky with nice weather at November. the Park is very organized well so it is easy to find your way and to continue to the next point of... After exciting and bustling days in Barcelona, we spent 3 days in Espot, several hour drive from Barcelona. The drive was wonderful and mostly very seinic. This national park is a beautiful place with many lakes and flowers in summer. Also hiking trails are such that all kind of people can enjoy hiking here. We are seniors and my wife... More

Lovely park, great hikes. Possibility of staying inside park in several refugi. Just dont be disappointed to find out that you cannot swim in any of lakes. Also, some lakes are artificially adjusted, sometimes with great amount of concrete.

A day of hiking, starting from a trip to the top of the mountain and then hiking all the way down through waterfalls. Such a beautifully place, amazing sights, highly recomended.

We did a one day hike from the entrance to the park up to the lake and waterfall. This was around 12.5KM, not the easiest bet well worth the reward of such a place.

Oh, this is one of the best trekking places we've been with the kids! Booking the refugios in advance, we didn't have to pack any heavy gear (tent, food, sleeping bags etc) so it allowed us to trek with light weight, just small pack with food/snacks for the day and a little water. The refugios offer basic sleeping in dormitories... More
