Great place to hang out for a few hours and enjoy the views. We had a picnic lunch when we got there and then later some tea and snacks while sitting on the rocks with views of the lighthouse, and ocean waves crashing around us.

Peggy's cove is recognised as one of the places to visit along the South Shore. It can be very busy but we were lucky, there were no cruise ships in and it was relatively quiet. Very attractive fishing village and famous lighthouse to see.

Bring your camera. This is the place to take lots of pictures. The ocean is beautiful. The rocks are fun to climb for the kids. And it's free.

Peggy's Cove lighthouse sits on a large rock formation adjacent to Peggy's Cove itself. The area is beautiful but the rocks can be treacherous, particularly during the foul weather Peggy's Cove is famous for. The Cove is actually quite small but around it sits a quaint fishing village that offers some good photo opportunities. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and be... More

Gotta go to Peggy's Cove! Very cool little village with tons of character and beautiful colors. The only restaurant in town is actually quite good.

Went in July 2015. Talk about one busy spot! Buss's of all kinds parking everywhere. A few suggestions if you're contemplating going to Peggy's cove for the 1st time. 1. Go as early as possible in the day. You might not think so, but this place is "mayhem" with traffic during peak season. Just watch the webcam! http://www.novascotiawebcams.com/en/webcams/peggys-cove-lighthouse/ 2. They... More

Peggy's Cove is a must see. Great place, whether of not the surf is up or not. Even if it isn't please be aware that a rogue wave may hit the shoreline at any time. Respect the ocean!!! There are unique shops with lots of 'tourist stuff' but there are some very interesting and unique local artisan items that are... More

Nice scenery, but to many people... Try taking a picture with nobody showing on it.... IMPOSSIBLE. I don't regret going there, but felt like being part of a tour bus.

A delightful place!!! Beautiful scenery, especially on the drive there. Nice little shops and right next door to an active fisherman's village - all makes this a worthwhile visit. We saw this featured on the Travel Channel features so had to go visit - it's a 1000 times better in real life

I was amazed. It's not far from Halifax and definitely worth the trip. Bring your camera as I took lots of photos and plan to enlarge and frame several. It's just a small fishing village with amazing rock formations. They are slick in spots and you see lots of warnings posted. Sometimes there are more tourists there than rocks! Walk... More
