Peggy's Cove represents what most travellers think of when they imagine the scenery of the East Coast of Canada. This small, serene village and its famous lighthouse provides an afternoon of photo ops and opportunities to explore quaint little shops.

The drive from Halifax to Peggy's Cove is quite enjoyable. You drive through a small fishing town prior to reaching the cove itself, which was also nice to look at although it seemed deserted. The cove was great to see. The lighthouse was smaller than expected, although it could have been dwarfed by all of the granite surrounding it. This... More

Bring your camera, dress for the breezes coming of the water. Its always colder than you think. Beautiful spot.

Peggy's Cove should be on your 'must do' places to visit when you're in the Halifax/Dartmouth area. It's gorgeous in the summer. There are souvenir shops, a restaurant, and the DeGarth painting museum is located there, as well. The one warning I will give you is: Do NOT go past the warning signs near the lighthouse. It's extremely dangerous to... More

The town, the shore and the lighthouse were all lovely and it was extremely fun for my grandchildren and I to explore the tide pools and the rocks.

It's an amazing place. Lightouse built on the biggest granit rock cap I ever seen. Surrounding area is almeat unreal, small village seems to be frozen in time. We also seems to be in a micro climate, kind of tundra with almost no trees, only lichens and small lakes. It's a must if you go in Nova Scotia. 1-3h hours... More

Well worth the trip, it was a nice outing, refreshing and invigorating wind and ocean spray from the rocks. Lots of WARNINGS to stay off the black, slippery rocks. Heed these warnings to stay alive and on solid ground.

Despite the really bad signage, which had us driving out to the airport in the exact opposite direction, we made it out to see the lighthouse and have lunch at Peggy's Cove. Very picturesque and delightful drive. Good food at the Sou'Wester restaurant. Rugged beautiful area, great vistas. If you are in Nuevo Scotia, don't miss this.
