Went rafting with these guys at the weekend - big thanks to our guides, Finn & G for making the trip excellent! Loved the explanation of options that happen over the big fall - amazing thrill. Everyone laughed a lot, absolutely fantastic way to spend a few hours. Even though it's winter, it didn't feel cold. Thanks everyone.

The only pity at the end of rafting was - how short that amazing 'sail' was!! Falling 7 meters and finding myself still in the boat was unbelievable! Great team, perfect instructor. I'll be back for sledging one day!!

Our guides were awesome ! We had a lot of fun with them Rafting: great experience, don't hesitate to do it, it's very cool !! Especially the 7m water fall :) Mount Tarawera: You have the chance to go into a crater. It's pretty impressive. The view at the top is stunning. You can see all the lakes, the Mount... More

The rafting and sledging with these guys is amazing! A def must to activity in Rotorua. Don't leave Rotorua without trying to beat the river (the river always wins). The gear they provide is professional and really good. Good safety procedures and everybody was feeling save during the trip. The tour guides make you the trip an amazing experience what... More

I booked 6 of us for this adventure, and it was terrifying. I didn't even want to get on the raft, but I did and now I can't wait to go again! We went in winter and we fell out of the raft and it was freezing but once we got back in we quickly warmed up. Thanks Kaitiaki adventures,... More

Had spotted people sledging when I did the rafting trip (great fun btw) so decided to give it a go. It pushed all my bravery buttons and gave me the fear factor which I hadn't experienced in years. Great fun. Did it in winter and hardly felt cold at all.

These are the only people who can officially take you on a walking tour accessing Tarawera by 4x4 - if you do not want to offend by breaking the Moari tapu. They helpfully met me at the Waimangu road junction and then our small group headed up the mountain tracks to the edge of the huge crater that splits the... More

This is a really adrenaline pumping activity, but the crew are very safety conscious and a lot of fun. I loved how they were so respectful of the Maori culture and it made the trip even more special to learn about the Maori connection to the river. Definitely a must do!!
