A great place to visit

The National Harbor area is a great place to come and enjoy. There are lots of restaraunts and bars to explore. Additionally, there is a stage with live music in the evening.

national harbor was a pleasant surprise to all of us in that it had so much to offer. Shops, eateries, hotels, night spots, "wheel", water taxi to Old Town, Georgetown, or the Nationals game. Weekends offer movies outdoors on the big screen by the water or Zumba, or other free activities. Always changing. The only drawback is lack of a... More

Few of us who watched as National Harbor was being built ever thought it would succeed in attracting visitors. We were dead wrong. It has rapidly become a favorite for families, millenials, business people and young at heart of all ages. When the $2 billion MGM Grand Hotel and Casino opens its doors in 2017, National Harbor will likely draw... More

Very enjoyable. Great hotels, restaurants, open air shows, great ride on the tall Ferris Wheel. Take the water taxi to Old Time Alexandria

A really well done collection of shops and restaurants. I wish it were 100% pedestrian with vehicle traffic on the outer roads but I would recommend it for people looking to park the car for the weekend, have a couple nice meals, shop, and just enjoy the view of the Potomac.

We rode the Capital Wheel then walked around the Gaylord National and shoreline around National Harbor. I thought there would be more things to do for kids.

Definitely a tourist attraction, but nice. Prices are not too bad and parking is reasonable. $32 for a two night stay. Nice choice of restaurants and public areas are clean

Harborfront Area, if you like "Fast and the Furious" rides, "boomin' systems," and the people that go along with the two, you'll love this area. If you're looking for and upscale dining & waterside stroll, this is not the place.

MY wife and I visited this area by boat while staying in Alexandria. Lots of stores, restaurants and the great Capital Wheel. Also the home of Gaylord National resort. A must place to visit if you are in the area.
