Excellent view, Must visit place, Hiking at great wall is itself an amazing experience. Better to go towards southern side with less crowded due to bit steep hike. You can't afford to miss!

I really this place because it is easy to visit and such an amazing place. This place can travel by train which is very easy. Also, it has cable car so, this was very easy for first step to climb up.

We arrived by coach, a short walk from the entrance to the wall, and had a group photograph taken ( Viking Cruises) with the wall behind us . Our guide advised us that there were two options - the easy route or the more difficult one. We chose the more challenging one , as did most of our group, and... More

I have visited the Great Wall several times, but first time at Badaling. It was crowded , very crowded being a Sunday. We had to take a bus from parking to the Cable Station. We purchased a ticket (Its expensive RN+MB 150 / $ 25 per head). The cable car was built in 2013 , It drops you off at... More

The Excursion to the Great Wall reminds Zabojad of one its most exciting moments in China. Walking around it and seeing all eyes on me as a european while discovering it'sights with my colleagues Teguh, Simmy, Kenji, Hank and Co will stay in my best Memories of Asia and Chinese Tours of Sightseing. Zabojad recommend this visit to anyone who... More

Reviewing the Great Wall climb at Badaling, one of the closest sections to Beijing. Great for the time challenged, since it took us an hour and a half to drive in from Beijing. Very well maintained, clean and well presented. There are 2 choices to climb up, by cable car and the walk. Each method leads to different sections of the... More

Add this to your trip if you have the time. The hike lasted a few hours and it was well worth seeing the ruins of the Great Wall.

It is definitely worth a visit if you're staying in Beijing. Our lonely planet guide indicated a place from a metro station to get the 919 bus that brings you directly to the Badaling secrion of the Wall so we followed its indications. The price was quite low dpfor the hour-long trip. But on the way, there's a real tourist... More
