Hiking (or "tramping" as New Zealanders call it) from one end to the other of this 32-mile track will take days, so if you're time-constrained, pick up a section of it. The view can't be beat as you walk through sandy bays and lagoons, past coves and estuaries.

Absolutely beautiful! Amazing scenery, wonderful beaches, spectacular views, huts and camping available. A must for those wanting to experience remote nature at a beginner level. For all ages, pack your snorkel and plenty of insect repellent!

We decided to Kayak one way and walk one way! lots of local companies who you can arrange this with. It was such a great adventure over 4 nights, camping along the way - during summer make sure you book in advance as campsites have restricted numbers! Such a beautiful place, which I would definitely return too...

Superb reserve with very well organized track to walk for one or several days. easy to access with large parkings. the reserve itself alternates between paradisiac beaches, possibility to go by kayak/canoe and forest views

My boyfriend and I did the entire track within 4 days, camping along the way. We got lucky with weather and had an amazing time hiking! A few things about this track: - for the first two days of hiking, the track is very easy, and depending on the season can be very crowded with tourists only going for a... More

This is a thoroughly well maintained and gorgeous track that I would recommend to everyone. We absolutely LOVED it. We also downloaded the Abel Tasman Park app and listened to interviews of the people that built the track WHILE we walked on it! So interesting.
