Hiking (or "tramping" as New Zealanders call it) from one end to the other of this 32-mile track will take days, so if you're time-constrained, pick up a section of it. The view can't be beat as you walk through sandy bays and lagoons, past coves and estuaries.

A group of friends and decided to walk this track owing to we have lived in Nelson our whole lives and never have walked the track. I am always told great things about the track and the beaches. If you have never done much hiking this walk is great and easy, but i found i still was sore the next... More

This is a thoroughly well maintained and gorgeous track that I would recommend to everyone. We absolutely LOVED it. We also downloaded the Abel Tasman Park app and listened to interviews of the people that built the track WHILE we walked on it! So interesting.

lovely and very easy hiking from bay to bay through beautiful forests and settings. early in the morning one enjoys the freshness and cool of the night, but lacks a bit the sun light - so not too good for bright and brilliant photos but all in all a absolute MUST DO ...

i did the full track over 4 days and would recommend it to anyone with moderate fitness. The track was very even and well signposted, could do it easily in runners. A few low tide crossings but whilst cold these were only knee hight. The huts were excellently maintained; anchorage and bark bay even had solar lighting which was a... More

Only an hours drive from Nelson CBD. Well worth the time to visit this beautiful place especially on a sunny day in summer as the beaches are great and water crystal clear. Choose how long you want to walk and enjoy this amazing scenery along the way.

I did this with a group of mothers and children aged 7-9 over 3 nights and it began and fascination with tramping for myself and child. The discovery of beaches along the way with spectacular scenery at every turn. Great huts and met lots of interesting folk along the way. To top it off finished with pizza at Marahau on... More

It's been a long time (2003) since I did this park, but it was a great experience even though it rained on me the whole day! Fun to have the boat pick up. (I did not visit in July 2014, but they didn't offer earlier dates)

We took the 10:30 ferry from kaiteriteri up to Aworoa and arranged for it to pick us up from Medlands at around 16:30. The walk was not very strenuous with plenty of picnic stops and stunning lookout views along the way. it was well worth the day out, not much wildlife spotting on the walk, the boat up saw plenty...
