Hiking (or "tramping" as New Zealanders call it) from one end...

Hiking (or "tramping" as New Zealanders call it) from one end to the other of this 32-mile track will take days, so if you're time-constrained, pick up a section of it. The view can't be beat as you walk through sandy bays and lagoons, past coves and estuaries.

A great little walk!

My husband and I really enjoyed this walk. We have such wonderful memories of the sunset on our way back. Highly recommend!

We’ve walked from Anchorage back to Marahau. Best thing that day was our water taxi from Marahau to Anchorage. We’ve even seen a hector dolphin just outside of Marahau. The cool skipper stopped there for us to make pictures. Even he sees those dolphins rarely. Further on we also stopped close to an island to have a look at some... More

Wonderful walks with great views of the bush and beach. Quiet and peaceful. People on the trail were friendly. Saw seals nesting on a nearby island. The tide varies greatly so walks and destinations have to be planned accordingly.

We walked both ends of the trail as day trips, even the drive around is worth the adventure. The trail is a lovely walk and is well maintained. Signage is excellent, no chance of getting lost.

The Abel Tasman National Park is a breathtaking place to visit in New Zealand. There are easy tracks and lots of beaches to take it all in on. The flora and fauna is also awesome!

The Able Tasman is such a beautiful place to visit, weather your just doing a day walk, spending several days walking the whole track or kayaking the area you won't be disappointed. There are great facilities at each of the camping areas.

Even being local we hadn't managed a day trip into Abel Tasman for nearly a year. We took a large group of friends there for a hike last weekend and everyone was very impressed. The colours of the various beaches and the aqua shades of the water are just stunning. The watertaxi options there are great and allow eveyone to... More

An easy track (I did it in flip flops) with stunning views and lots of beaches to rest on. We kayaked up to Anchorage and then hiked back which was a great way to go if you're short on time! If you're not into that there is a water taxi as well.

The Abel Tasman Coast track is perfect for discovering the national park. The first part (Marahao - Anchorage) is just average, but afterwards the views are perfect. I would therefore really recommend an overnight stay to both enjoy the walk more and to experience the 'night life' at Abel Tasman. However, bring your gear (only showers and cold water up... More

We go to Abel Tasman a lot, for both work and pleasure - it's pretty cool place to call the "office." It can be very busy in the summer but if you pick your camp spots carefully you can get that sense of having beautiful golden sand beaches without the crowds. My last trip there was a mid winter running... More
