We were driving around Lagos and took a wrong turn and ended up here. This was very picturesque and we will likely come back here for a day trip on the beach the next time we are in the Algarve. Staying here in the offseason would be for those that want a quiet holiday as many of the restaurants are... More

Just love Luz. Beautiful beaches and very friendly place. Great places to eat and some great places to visit close by We especially like visiting Lagos which is about 20 minutes away. A beautiful medieval town with great character and charm

unspoilt - great for couples in spring and autumn when the kids have gone back home. Some nice restaurants but best to book as they can get quite busy at peak times

While I was recently in Lagos I decided to do a half day trip to Luz. The weather was sunny and warm that day. As being of season I headed to the beach first which is long. I more or less had the beach to myself most of the time. Nice and peaceful. Well worth a visit but the town... More

It was a lovely little beach and felt quite safe, there were a few surfers around and it was quite clean.

Cool in the evenings but absolutely nothing to do after 9pm,most of the visitors are mature couples,it's more of a relax and let the world go by type of place.

Apart from the tragedy that this place is known for in the UK, It really is worth a visit. Great shops, good restaurants and a range of excellent apartments and villas.

Praia la Luz is simply one of the most beautiful spots on the Algarve, gorgeous sandy beach, picturesque paved promanade dotted with bars and restaurants which make a lovely stroll, great place to swim or sunbathe and very romantic spot indeed. Loved it!

We have been to Luz beach over many years, but for the first time on 23 October we saw a dozen or so dolphins playing in the surf. It caused great amusement to those swimming or paddling! A great sight.
