We rented an apartment on the main strip thanks to a friend's recommendation who visited Diani last year. The restaurants and supermarkets are all closely located. The caretaker advised us on a shortcut to the beach that was only a 15 minute stroll on foot. So our 10 day routine consisted of a morning walk, a cup of coffee, a... More

A white sand beach that stretches for miles. Sunbeds outside the hotel, and an abundance of watersports available to undertake. The locals are very friendly too.

The beach is okay, beach boys are annoying. In general the beach isn't worse than others, but on the other hand not comparable to e.g. Mauritius

I love Diani beach as the sands are really white and the waters of the Indian ocean are very clear and blue. The place just reminds me of God's greatness. However they need to get rid of the beach boys who can be pests most times.

Enough is never enough of this beautiful beach, long walks on the white sands and the Ocean is captive. Fresh fish ,like red snapper can be bought on beach straight from the sea. The beach boys can be persistent with selling goods, however if staying at beach side hotel security will be attentive in your security if sellers become a... More

Its a cool beach that has lots of sand at low tide and cool reef tide pools. Hawkers are a bit annoying, but not prohibitively so.

I know Diani quite well now, from being bustling and busy in 2013 to now nearly deserted by tourists! it is safe and welcoming and very multicultural, with all nationalities, religions and cultures living side by side in harmony. Travelled from mombassa by usual taxi down to Diani, ferry and road through Tiwi, in daylight, no issues encontered and everyone... More
