Spectacular round beach formation, with dunes and views to the castle. Crystal clear water, fine sand. The beach is not organised with sun umprellas and bars, and it better stay that way!

The Bay is hilarious. Calm waters and unbelievable views. No beach facilities. It's a national park.

It is very impressive as a scenary and ideal if you have children due to the shallow waters. It is difficult to find when you cross a small bridge turn on your right. You have to bring your umbrella and water otherwise there is a mini market at 1km away.

Probably the sea is not that spectacular but the shape of the beach with the castle on the left side is amazing. You feel like being transferred to another century. There are myths that this place is haunted so all this adds up to the feeling you will get. One of the best beaches in Messinia.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen! Voidokilia alone is a reason to visit this area of the world. No houses, no bars, no sunbeds, just a perfectly shaped strech of sand and clear water. This is by far the greatest part of Homer's "sandy Pylos" (e.g. Πύλον ἠμαθόεντα in Odyssey 1.93). In June, it... More

We were fortunate to see this glorious beach in the early morning in May when there were few people about. There was a single yacht mooring in the almost lagoon which was very atmospheric. My husband and I collected a large crate we found on the beach and filled it with rubbish. A Greek couple followed our lead and I... More

A very beautiful cove beach in a nature reserve. Well worth a visit but you need to bring your own shade and picnic.

This beach is out of the way, & I'm glad. It is a perfect semi-circle, with perfectly clear water, so salty one can just lie there in the water & never move...I swear I could fall asleep floating on the water! There is a castle at the top of one end which people climb, although we didn't. We just spent... More
