As I was there in the off-season, I had the place just for me. Wonderful opportunity to sit down, think about life while relaxing. I took amazing pictures. Too bad I can't upload them using my iPad. Don't miss the opportunity to go ahead to Austria. There, try to reach the mountains of a little city called Kartitsch. Amazing!

Lovely views in Autumn, especially in the mornings when you take a walk around the lake. The restaurant Seeschlupfe offers good food at a little higher than moderate price.

Liked the walk up to the lake, short enough to be done with two little kids. Once at the lake though, there was little amusement for children, aside from a couple of private gardens (accessible only if dining in either of the two restaurants (the one right next to the lake with very unfriendly personnel - the one closer to... Lovely easy walk to lake and back to town in half a day with two lakeside cafes where you can enjoy a beer or coffee etc - with gorgeous scenery and traquil waters.

I visited this lake many times and when the weather is good then it's really a beautiful place to visit and hike. Especially in mornings, when the water is quiet, there are beautiful reflections of the mountains and trees in the water.

A really nice lake about 40 minutes by bus from Cortina. You can circumnavigate the lake and enjoy watching the ducks and swans. At the end sit down for a drink and watch the wildlife on the lake

Our hotel displays the hikes guided by GloboAlpin. Our guided night hike around the lake was beautiful. The guide provided torches and stories about the history and geology. The hike took about 90 minutes and was fun and beautiful. It was so nice that we repeated the hike the next day.
