Big, white sand, clear water and warm (+ 2/3 º C than in other beaches in Algarve), good beach bars support and restaurants. A lot of car parking (free and paid). Great and safe place for famillies and kids.

There seems to be enough free parking spaces even though we arrived about midday. There are a few cafés before the beach side restaurants which were a bit more pricier for the view. We thought the facilities from... More

Very nice beach but then again all beaches in Portugal seem to be top notch. Lots of shells and other wild life to find and see. Be careful though! Plenty of room on the beach in March as well but still was a really nice day. Water a little chilly though but the young ones don't care.

If you like to take long walks along the beach and to play in the water for a long period of time and at the same time having enough space to play some tennis our soccer, this is the best place. Sometimes the water can be a little freezing but most of the times the temperatures are really nice. Because... More

You have to give it to the Portuguese, they certainly know how to look after their beaches, praia Verde was a perfect beach to walk our dogs in the mornings and stop for coffee afterwards, the stretch of beach goes on and on and is beautiful although BEWARE of the huge jellyfish that were washed on the beach they could... The beach is magnificent and runs from Monte Gordo in the East to Tavira in the west. Good safe swimming most of the time. Excellant restaurants, we dined at "Restaurante Penzinhos na Areia, right next to the beach at Praia Verde. You need to reserve if you want one of the best tables, but ours was O.K. at the side... Long white sandy beach just perfect to relax or bathe. Good restaurants nearby, especially "Pezinhos n'Areia" at the entrance of the beach. Free parking, clean and accessible to disabled people.

I love this beach, although all beaches in this area are very good, this one is normally not so crowded and the restaurants around are very good.
