We looked forward to this tour as we have done similar tours in many other areas of the World. I am convinced that we would have a better memory of this tour had we not been in Australia during the down season. In any event, this tour was more expensive than similar tours in the NAPA, Alsace and Burgundy regions.... More

I was drunk with wine and the star night in Hunter Valley YHA. During the trip, I enjoyed more than 30 kinds of wine. And I learned a lot about wine and cheese. At night, we stayed at YHA. We appreciated the sunset, the self-cooked pizzas, chat with friends from Japan. Great Britain, China, Taiwan and other countries and areas.... More

Max was our guide and he was great - very friendly and knowledgeable. We visited a number of wineries as well as cheese and chocolate tours - all of which were delicious. We also did a variety of wineries - small to large, great selection. Why would anyone drive to the Hunter when you can take a nice Mercedes bus?! More

Our tour was great and I would recommend it for anyone who is interested in the Hunter Valley Wine region. We went to 5 wineries - nice ones! It's about a 1.5 hour drive each way from Sydney to the Hunter Valley, and it's quite comfortable in a Mercedes van which seats about 15 people. In addition to the wineries... More

We booked Hunter Valley Wine Tours through the ubiquitous black magazine of attractions you find in all hotels - they were the first listed under wine tours. The day started well enough with driver turning up on time in nice air-conditioned Mercedes van and there were about fifteen people on the tour. Visited three of five nice wineries in the... More

The 300km drive & rental car cost was not worth the trip...nothing like the wine regions of USA. If going on to New Zealand the Marlborough Wine Region is a must. More

You do not have to be a wine expert to enjoy this tour. We went with Australian Wild Escapes and had an outstanding experience. Loved seeing the countryside outside of Sydney and enjoyed cheese shops and chocolate shops as well as wineries. Got to visit boutique wineries as well as larger ones. More

Sam Collins was our tour guide. This tour lasted all day, and we got to sample lots of wines at all of the wineries we visited. The cheese shop stop was wonderful, tried stuff I never tasted before. The first stop to see kangaroos, and koalas was a wonderful experience. The stop at the micro brewery was great, too. The... More

I've been to the Hunter with several different companies but this was the best trip. Really comfortable bus. Guide was open to winery suggestions and was very friendly. Lunch was delicious. Will definitely travel with them again. More
