We visited Bowali Visitors Centre to check out what we should in Kakadu during our visit. A very helpful ranger gave us some good ideas and advice. Well worth visiting!

This was a very well put together information centre. Our 2yr old loved the interactive displays and we were very appreciative of the advice we received from the ranger on duty on the best attractions to visit with a toddler. The coffee from the cafe was great and we enjoyed browsing the aboriginal art on display in the air-conditioned gift... More

A must to visit, to not only get your park permit but to wander through the displays & artifacts and learn a bit of the culture and what to expect on your visit. There is a cafe, cinema , maps , info , booking help etc, etc ! The staff were laid back & friendly and offered what must be... More

While we did not take part in any of the many services offered at this centre, they did provide us with the most invaluable information about Kakadu national park, Jabiru and the surrounding area. They will tell you everything you need to know about getting around, services, charges and permits required. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Be... More

Friendly and helpful rangers; maps and info; interesting displays with focus on natural environment; a good short break after travelling long distance.

Well worth the stop. We spent at least 40 minutes here inspecting the well presented and easy to understand information. The building is casual and open in design and felt welcoming. I recommend you include this centre in your visit to Jabiru.

If you are willing to move at your own rate, actually read vs. being entertained then you will learn much. This is what you make it, if you're looking for a "dazzle me immediately" experience then you may be disappointed. There is much information available you simply need to take your time, slow down, relax it isn't a race. Look,... More

After reading reviews, I had planned on stopping here for quite a while to get cultural and geographical information as we drove through, it had some interesting things to read, but took only about 10-15 min tops, when I had planned to spend 1-2 hours there :) I agree with a previous review saying the Aboriginal Cultural Center at Yellow... Its where you can buy a permit, and its located just outside Jabiru. It has a very small display section and well worth a visit. There is a souvenier shop,

Popped into the visitor centre to get a permit and also had a good look around the displays and had a nice coffee. Definitely worth a visit
