I was impressed from the colores of the water : Turquoise, blue and pale blue. It was also a kind of adventure to cross the water at ĺow tide. A wonderfull adventure. What I did not like were the irational prices of the water transfers to the track points. It seems that some kind of regulation should be imposed on the... More

We went on a half day walk then followed by the sailing. We had an amazing time! Its perfect when you want to be active and relax on the same day. You do the walk in approx 4 hours with plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery. Then before sailing, you can relax at the beach and work... More

We did a half day sailing it was incredible. It is a great way to see the park without having to kayak. You also get a great tan. We loved our guide, he made us tea and coffee and it was a great experience!

We spent a full day with our 4 kids (ages 3-9) and had a wonderful time. Our Skipper, Sean, was a knowledgable sailor who took us to a secluded cove for us to have lunch (which we brought, although buying it was an option) and a bit of playing at the beach and exploring. He was able to tell us... More

It was a perfect way to spend a day seeing the area and it's natural beauty. highly recommend. The guide was informative and helpful making the most of our time finding spots where deals and dolphins were found.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day out on the catamaran; my youngest son really enjoyed taking the controls and being 'in charge of the steering'. Being out on the water was extremely relaxing and the views spectacular. The information about what we were seeing and in particular about the conservation work and restoring natural New Zealand birds to the area was... More

After researching the options for a 3 day catamaran charter through the Abel Tasman coast and Bays, the 13.5 meter Jamarah out of Nelson was a clear leader. The experience that Captain Martin provided proved to be far more than expected!! My wife and I met two other couples (new to us) at the pier and Martin had us all... More

Out on a catamaran all day, relaxing whilst someone else did the work - wonderful! There is something about sailing along on blue waters with sun and some breeze. Mark was able to find seals, little penguins, oyster catchers and much more for us to look at, then we moored in a beautiful bay for lunch. Earlier, and later on,... More

We have been sailing twice recently and the weather makes all the difference! The first time we were unlucky to have a horrible, wet cold day - relentless wind and rain the entire day. A little rain on an otherwise good day would have been manageable though. Note there is no shelter on the boat so all the elements batter... More

It was great to get you out on a sunny day and that we could show you just how lovely sailing in the Abel Tasman can be! It is a very weather interactive activity and we are so lucky that our region has (mostly!) settled and predictable weather. But occasionally it is not so.... I'm still trying to work out... More

We had an okay day sailing with Abel Tasman sailing adventures. Let me start with the positives: the captain tried to use the sails when possible which was very good. He was obviously a very capable sailor. The lunch stop was a at lovely beach and the views of this beautiful NP are brilliant from the water. However, due to... More

Yes, our skippers are very experienced and do love to sail. Sailing is a very environmentally interactive experience and our skippers do their best with the weather on the day to give you the best day out they can. It is with their professional experience and knowledge of the area that they make the judgement call as to the route... More
