On one of New Zealand's most northerly shores lies a fascinating area: Cape Reinga. The Cape Reinga lighthouse graces the view of two mighty bodies of water, the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean, as they come crashing together. The roll of their waves beat mercilessly upon the many beautiful beaches surrounding the cape. It is an astounded view! The... More

We decided to take a bus day trip to Cape Reinga to see the top of North Island where the two seas meet, and also to visit the lighthouse. We were amazed at the beauty of area, and took some wonderful photos. Included in our trip was sand boarding down massive sand dunes, fun for even those just watching. On... More

We visited Cape Reinga as part of a tour incorporating Ninety Mile Beach and the Kauri Museum and this was a very worthwhile stop. The scenery is stunning and to see the Tasman Sea and the Pacific resisting each other where they meet was a memorable sight.

We had family visiting and wanted to show them the top of the North Island in a relaxed way. While there is a lot of travelling it is the best way to travel We had a great guide (Aerial) and he knew his stuff which made the trip interesting and informative. The family loved the drive along Ninety Mile Beach... More

I'm a Kiwi and spent a lot of time up north but have never actually made it to Cape Reinga until now. The tour was great stopping in to the Kauri forest and sand boarding down the Ninety Mile Beach dunes. We went from Paihia and it was a long days trip but well worth the effort. Some great scenery... We booked this tour as part of a "combo" deal offered by Fullers. Two tours were included: this and the "Dolphin Cruise to the Hole in the Rock", the latter being a boat trip to and from the "Hole in the Rock" off Cape Brett in the Bay of Islands. The catch with the combo deal is that you have... More

We were collected from our hotel for this 400k odd trip to drive along a beach .The driver managed to get a bucket of seafood for his tea and we watched while he boogie boarded down the sand dunes with some other travelers ! We did stop for a short walk through the rain forest on a boardwalk which I... More
