I went to La Vanille Crocodile park to do some wildlife photography and was very disappointed. The crocodiles all looked dead from the heat and the fences were high and all the crocs were quite far. The nursery had unclear, dirty windows and I could barely see the baby crocs. The monkeys were not too bad and could be seen... More

the restaurant was set in an awesome ambiance like sitting in a rain forest. We had crocodile meat cooked in vanilla sauce and it was excellent. The setting was wonderful. There is an old locomotive engine of the past railways of Mauritius, a small zoo which had a lot of tortoise (I think the largest collection in Mauritius), an insect... More

Nice place to visit with different animals on-site, crocodiles, iguanas, monkeys, tortoises, fruit bats, donkeys and more. The main attraction there is the crocodile, from the nursery to the breeding. It is a safe place to be and it is also fun to walk among the friendly giant tortoises and fed and stroke them. The staff is very friendly and... More

Incredibly hard to find! You go off road down a dirt track at the side of a sugar cane field. Crocs have no room or enough water and are just on hard concrete floors. Water very dirty. They looked bored and unhappy. The attendant said they fight a lot. The baby's are in a sterile small area with no earth,... More

Small place only enough to see for 2 hours. Tortoises are the main attraction very friendly love being stroked and fed. My 6 year old didn't want to leave. Spoke to a few members of staff who were all helpful and friendly.

Visited the park for a couple of hours on our honeymoon. Really cheap compared to the other zoo's on the island and we thought very good value. The tortoise enclosure was great, with the chance to get up close and personal with the magnificent animals, feed them and pet them. The eldest is about 190 and named Domino, the staff... More

This is a small park with a few monkeys, crocodiles and LOTS of huge tortoises. The tortoises loved being ridden, fed and stroked and seemed to enjoy the attention. The insect and butterfly museum was small but very impressive. There were a few domestic animals and deer and the place was being upgraded. The place is cool with a lovely... More
