I've been visiting this pub for many years and right now this is as good as its got over several decades of varying standards for me. A few years back it was very well revamped and extended, and whenever I've been there (usually at the weekend) the atmosphere is good because the place is busy - it is a little... More

Having recently holidayed in Shropshire with Bishop's Castle as our base, I was keen to find out about the three brewpubs in the town. Reading some previous reviews about The Three Tuns which had been rather critical about standards of service & value for money of the food, I was a little apprehensive about giving the place a try, but... Recently visited Bishops Castle and made the Three tuns our base, superb beer made just next door, the pale ale being our favourite. The staff were very friendly too. If we were lucky enough to live here this would be my local. A great place.

A town with two home brew pubs and 6 in the area what is not to like. New Chef and an interesting Menu polished off a great weekend

I like the Three Tuns very much. I first visited as a student, on a geology field trip thirty years ago and it has steadily improved with the years. There is a wonderful oak-framed bar extension at the back, with views of the brewery tower nearby and the Long Mynd in the distance. This gives the small pub a great... More

It's a brewery (and pub) so hubbie loves it! Does takeaway mini kegs which is good, beer is fab and it lets dogs in! What more can I say? Haven't eaten here but I believe they do provide food, we just have pork scratching and crisps....

We lunched here, having last visited 40 years ago, and I was apprehensive about the inevitable changes. I need not have worried. The brewery still turns out finely crafted beers, and the food was just excellent. Friendly staff, a huge portion of good fish & chips, great value for money, and well worth a visit if you are looking for... More

I'm a local and have been having lunches at The Three Tuns with my husband and little boy since he was 5 weeks old. The meat and fish dishes (limited but you can ring in advance to reserve fish) are tasty enough, good chips but essentially pleasant food with a hint of 'gastropub'. It is atmospheric at the weekends and... More

Nice inside, modern but olde worlde at the same time. Yes - they do some nice ales and the food looks good too! The biggest thing that the pub is missing is atmosphere!? there isn't any and as a result you're not drawn back to the place. The pub needs to step it up, you can't just rely on a... More

We didn't get chance to look at the brewery but the pub is very nice. Ale is obviously brewed on the premises so drinks are pretty cheap. We had two evening meals here. Prices are about £12.50 for fish, up to £15 for meat. My battered fish on the first night wasn't up to much but the chips were lovely,... More
