Was apprehensive, but needn't have worried!

We had a tour of the brewery on Sunday. The whole party found it fascinating. The Brewer was passionate about it and shared his knowledge and enthusiasm. There are steep steps - which you are told about but be warned. All rounded up with a chance to taste the 'brew'.

Such a shame to see a fantastic pub, with its own brewery, being let down by the attitude of its senior bar staff. They would do well to remember they aren't doing us a favour. Rude, aggressive. Just tell us you're booked up in a friendly way and offer a seat at the bar instead. "Enjoy your drink, do come... More

Six of us spent the week in Bishops Castle, luckily very close to the Three Tuns Inn. Gorgeous atmospheric own pub with a lovely sympathetic new part, all Three Tuns ale is great but we loved Cleric's Cure the best. We didn't eat here but fabulous range of beer for serious ale drinkers. And the food looked great!

We came here to have a light lunch and a beer (not me 'cos I was driving). I would expect that when a group of six arrives in a pub, the guy behind the bar would make eye contact at least and maybe say "I'll be with you in a minute". No! He ignored us completely while he rushed off... More

Having recently holidayed in Shropshire with Bishop's Castle as our base, I was keen to find out about the three brewpubs in the town. Reading some previous reviews about The Three Tuns which had been rather critical about standards of service & value for money of the food, I was a little apprehensive about giving the place a try, but... Recently visited Bishops Castle and made the Three tuns our base, superb beer made just next door, the pale ale being our favourite. The staff were very friendly too. If we were lucky enough to live here this would be my local. A great place.

I like the Three Tuns very much. I first visited as a student, on a geology field trip thirty years ago and it has steadily improved with the years. There is a wonderful oak-framed bar extension at the back, with views of the brewery tower nearby and the Long Mynd in the distance. This gives the small pub a great... More

It's a brewery (and pub) so hubbie loves it! Does takeaway mini kegs which is good, beer is fab and it lets dogs in! What more can I say? Haven't eaten here but I believe they do provide food, we just have pork scratching and crisps....
