Its a small dam with road around it. A place where kids can run around and you can enjoy the nature at its best away from all city disturbances, If you love fishing, you can give a try. There is Chapara, near by small hill. Kids will love the small trucking on to the top of this rocky hill. The... More

Its a mediocre dam and lake at best. Not worth the time and effort spend in reaching there if you are coming from afar. But if you are living close by it maybe worth a visit to pass some time.

Poomala Dam is a little remote area from Thrissur town, because of this reason, it is a very quiet place. Poomala Dam is a very small dam compared to Chimmini Dam or Peechi Dam.

The Poomala Dam and Lake is a very calm, serene and beautiful place for a short trip. It is near to Thrissur and one can spend 2-3 hours here away from the noisy city. The road to the dam site is good and well maintained. It is an upcoming tourist spot so amenities are basic.

Just 12 Kms drive from Thrissur town. There is not much attractions in Poomala. Just a small dam and nice surroundings.

The place isnt worth a visit. It may be a spot for the locals to spend their evening, but not for the tourists. It doesnt have any park. Nor is it maintained properly. All that you see is a body of "water" and some trees, but not forest. Better to sit at home.

Its totally empty place. Have been there a few times. Not a big dam. A moderate sized reservoir with a road on one side and greenery on the other is the only thing to see. There is a park too, not well maintained. The biggest attraction is the sleepy calmness. Nice place to take a break and may be some... More

This is a place very near to Thrissur Town. just 8 kilometers. Beautiful place, a dam site, suitable for an evening trip. At the entrance there is a children's play area. The best thing I noticed is a short trekking paths to the nearby jungle, but its not safe for families, not because of animals but I could see several... More
