The newest golf course in the Caribbean opened in December 2009. Apes Hill Club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level in the centre of Barbados. Located amongst a richly diverse landscape of rolling meadows, dense tropical forest, and coral stone quarries. The Club and its splendid amenities are establishing a new standard of excellence in the Caribbean. The developers, with a shared passion for creating communities designed to preserve and enhance their natural environments, have risen admirably to the challenge. The 470 acres of land has been divided into eight neighbourhoods with two two-thirds of the acreage ramaining as open space. Property owners have a selection of custom homes or semi-detatched villas which blend harmoniously with nature while affording unparalleled views of breathtaking scenery.

Following a friendly welcome as I stepped out of the car on arrival, every member of staff went out of their way to ensure my visit and round were as enjoyable as possible. Denise in the pro shop and Chris the caddy master are worthy of specific praise but every member of staff I met on and off the course... More

Played Apes Hill today when Royal Westmoreland was closed after torrential over-night rain. The fairways were heavy but the greens had drained beautifully. The design and the views are breathtaking. Not cheap at $220 US per round but a great experience. The staff were a shade sharp and commercial but the whole operation will I suspect become the best in... More

Dear David, Thank you for this review. As you have experienced first hand, we are the only course in Barbados that has never had to close because of rain. I am so very glad you still enjoyed your round of golf even with the weather being rainy the last few days. The new club house which is due to be... More

I've played golf in many countries but this is right up there. Lovely course in a great location. Staff couldn't do enough for me. They had carried out routine maintenance on the course and offered me a 50% green fee discount. This is one to play. You will not be disappointed....

I thoroughly enjoyed playing Apes Hill Club last week. I work in the golf industry & I've played a lot of courses in the Caribbean (including Corales, Punta Espada, Ocean Club) and Apes Hill is world-class. The course design is really spectacular- the way they used Barbados' natural terrain (eg quarries for par 3s) made it a really interesting and... More

I loved this golf course. Challenging, aesthetically appealing, great condition, views, wonderful service and playful monkeys. What else could you wish for? Take your camera and enjoy.

I have the luxury of being from the golf coast of England with Royal Liverpool (Hoylake), West Lancashire, Formby, Hillside, Southport & Ainsdale and Royal Birkdale on my doorstep, so to say I'm spoilt for golf course choices would be an understatement. All of that being said, Apes Hill would rival any of these professional major championship venues with ease.... More

Upon our visit to Barbados we had many things we wanted to do and see. We were traveling with friends. 2 of my friends and I wanted to play golf and were told that this was the place to play. We were blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff was. The views on the course are breathtaking. You... More

Was lucky enough to play at the Apes Hill Golf Club recently and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Very friendly team in the Club House, great caddies, course in really good shape. Certainly the prettiest course in Barbados. Exciting to see the new Club House taking shape. All in all a must-do, if you can get to... More

From the time I rang the club to arrange a round of golf for my travelling companions and myself until the time we left the club, we were treated so well. The course itself is a great test for an average golfer and the views of it and the surrounding areas are spectacular. Special thanks to Walter for making everything... More
