The newest golf course in the Caribbean opened in December 2009. Apes Hill Club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level in the centre of Barbados. Located amongst a richly diverse landscape of rolling meadows, dense tropical forest, and coral stone quarries. The Club and its splendid amenities are establishing a new standard of excellence in the Caribbean. The developers, with a shared passion for creating communities designed to preserve and enhance their natural environments, have risen admirably to the challenge. The 470 acres of land has been divided into eight neighbourhoods with two two-thirds of the acreage ramaining as open space. Property owners have a selection of custom homes or semi-detatched villas which blend harmoniously with nature while affording unparalleled views of breathtaking scenery.

Played this course prior to sandy lane. It is an excellent course with some amazing holes especially 11,12 and 13 which are just the dogs dangly bits. Monkeys running all over the place on hole 13 Highly recommend this course with excellent service. We went off the yellows which was a good test. If you go off the whites or... More

Surprising views at every hole. You can tell the course is new and will need some time to mature, but the views made it worth the while. Small monkeys and island goats can been seen while playing the course. We played mid day and the sun was brutal. I can't imagine playing this course in the summer months. Clubhouse is... More

We enjoyed this course and although it wasn't as mature as Sandy Lane Country Club, it was still very challenging and the staff have the right attitude to make the course a success. The course was good value for money, there is GPS, bottles of water provided on the buggy and a refreshment cart circulating. Unlike Royal Westmoreland, which whilst... More

Thank you for your review and I am thrilled that you enjoyed the overall experience at Apes Hill Club. Yes, as you have mentioned we are a young club. The course was opened in late 2009 and the rest of the development is following in the footsteps of this. The new country club, which is due to be complete July... More

Beautiful golf & polo property. Such a unique setting with views of the ocean and jungle setting. World class! We were sent here by Ryan at the Fairmont.

I am so very happy that you enjoyed the entire experience. We are so very lucky to be situated on one of the best spots in Barbados. Nothing can beat the sunsets we have from here. Looking forward to your return in the future. More

My wife and I had five rounds at Apes Hill and enjoyed every one. The staff make you welcome and can’t do enough for you. The course is challenging and probably not for beginners. Lots of Monkeys on the course who give you a wide birth as you pass. There are some great views from the course across both the... More

Great to hear that you all got an opportunity to play the course! I think the best part about the course is the Monkeys. On an afternoon we have a troupe that makes their way from the 18th to the 1st, a sight to see! You are not the first to express the sadness of changing of clubhouse but I... More

The current clubhouse is temporary but still a lovely place to enjoy a scrumptious lunch on the veranda and take in the beautiful views on offer, stretching across the golf course, down to the Ocean. The staff are very welcoming.

Top money for an average course and not even a clubhouse Apes hill sell themselves at the top club on the island It is no better than any of the others but very expensive There are 2-3 decent holes on the back 9 but not worthy of the price Try Royal Westmoreland as that is just as good for half... Apes Hill is a real treat from start to finish. You'll be met with a smile - one of the friendly, smiling team will take your clubs to your buggy ice box, bottles of water and towels come as standard. There is nothing standard about Apes Hill though - it's a class act that will stay in your memory for... More

What a lovely course with great views and part of the course had a real jungle feel to it. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They're building a huge new clubhouse and so its a long ride to the first tee but not a problem in a buggy - just get your bearings after the 18th as we... More
