Owner description: The newest golf course in the Caribbean opened in December 2009. Apes Hill Club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level in the centre of Barbados. Located amongst a richly diverse landscape of rolling meadows, dense tropical forest, and coral stone quarries. The Club and its splendid amenities are establishing a new standard of excellence in the Caribbean. The developers, with a shared passion for creating communities designed to preserve and enhance their natural environments, have risen admirably to the challenge. The 470 acres of land has been divided into eight neighbourhoods with two two-thirds of the acreage ramaining as open space. Property owners have a selection of custom homes or semi-detatched villas which blend harmoniously with nature while affording unparalleled views of breathtaking scenery.

I have played Apes Hill five times over three trips to Barbados in recent years and it's always a highlight. The stretch on holes 12-14 are stunning and those three holes cut out of the island central jungle of Royal Palms and Bananna trees alone I would put on a composite world favourite, as I would the short 16th over... While on a cruise stop in Barbados, we played this course on December 30th. Ben Hatch was most cooperative when setting it up. We were a little stressed about timing to get there once we could get off the ship, but Ben told us not to worry and they would take care of us when we got there. Take care... More

We have just returned from a Christmas trip to Barbados which included a wonderful round of golf at this stunning course. We were warmly welcomed, and enjoyed challenging golf amongst the amazing scenery of both the east and west sides of the island, making a very special and memorable day. The course was in superb condition. We would urge any... More

We deliberated over which course and finally plumped for Apes Hill due to the strong reviews , all of which were reflected in our visit. To get the best deal contact them direct, we hired clubs and were offered a number of selections total cost $60 for the clubs. We were given free access to the driving range and provided... More

Golf does not get much better than this. My son-in-law, General Manager of Cobblers Cove in Barbados, introduced me to Apes Hill in December 2014. I was prepared initially to believe it would be a typical Caribbean course, good but not memorable. How wrong I was. Apes Hill is a gem unrivaled by any other course on the Island and... More

Played Apes HIll today (Boxing Day 2014)....... Let me start with what I consider the negatives - my reason for mentioning these points is that this is not a cheap golfing experience (cost me 218 UK pounds). Firstly, due to the temporary clubhouse being positioned at the top of the hill, the 1st tee is a long long way from... More

Most interesting and aesthetically pleasing course I have played, the back nine is second to none! The mix of world class golf holes and pristine jungle that surrounds it made it for me the premier course in Barbados! I played Royal Westmoreland during my week long stay but for me Apes Hill was No 1! The whole experience was rounded... More

Very few people on the island, including locals, have had the opportunity to visit Apes Hill GC. Apes Hill is a truly magnificent golfing resort who staff members and very experienced PGA Professionals could not make you any more welcome. The Clubhouse facilities are very comprehensive and food exquisite. More importantly the course was in tremendous shape, definitely a must... More
