We stopped off here and it is very popular. The beer is no better than any other home brewery. They do have a very nice concept that you can taste for free, but the beers are quite strong and over done. The food pub grub, it's not special really. I can't say the places so anything more than an average... More

Excellent selection! I have tasted most of their beers at various JHB haunts, but it was nice to see where it all happens....

Awesome place beer is excelent, food is excelent and my wife says even the cherry cider is excellent. Really like the vibe too. Only down side is, the sweet mustard version does not match to the german sausages, rather get the proper german sweet mustard(the same one they serve in Germany at the Oktoberfest), to try for yourself, you can... I enjoyed the ability to sample all of their brews on tap before selecting my favorite. They have about six different beers, each in a different style. The stout was so poor it was nearly undrinkable, and the IPA was more of a pale ale, and the scottish ale was watery tasting. However, the Blonde Ale and Red Ale were... More

Good atmosphere! Nice local beer and delicious cherry juice! The service is okay. You can have something light to eat as well I ate the Kasegriller with bread and some cherry chutney. Delicious! You can buy the local beer and juice there as well. Nice relaxing place.

Brewery to taste! Bier ok if you choose the right one, cider to taste before. Don't imagine that it is a cider like in France.

My wife and I decided to quickly popped down to the brewery for a beer and it was quite delightful to have a taste of the different beer before you actually buy a draft. We ordered a mixed platter and I was not to impressed with the cheese, NOT because it was not good cheese, its just not cheese that... More

Great brews, and atmosphere. Clarens Red has to be one of the top craft beers I've tasted recently. A must do when in Clarens.
