We came across this attraction while driving towards Scottsdale. It was only just off the main road and easy to park. The Heritage Walk and Settlers Hut gave us some insights into the Chinese tin miners who held leases to mine this area, and the hard life they led so far from home. A spring walk with the family - our 4 year old was fascinated by the story in the interpretation centre, then there were the wildflowers, birds and heritage to admire. Great spot, very interesting heritage.

Two walks on the property and another one adjacent make this a great place to increase your understanding of the tin-mining history & Chinese heritage of NE Tas. Graham and Christine have value-added the walks with excellent interpretation, art installations that are so good that it is best to leave them as a surprise for you, and a wonderful spot... More

If you are in the area and feel like a nice walk through the bush give this a go. There is a 20 minute option or a 3 hour option from memory.
