Path was closed but rules are there to be broken. Walked carefully downhill (autumn leaves are very slippery) and the view we had was amazing

used to go to rumbling bridge to a chalet we had when i was young next to the river devon used to fish there and explore the area when i was a kid used to go out there 4 or 5 times a year for one week at a time great place to fish and picnic and swim in river... More

Near Powmill on the A977 from Kinross at its junction with the A823, Rumbling Bridge and gorge was a very popular tourist attraction from the 18th century (Robert Burns, Scotland's national bard, visited in 1787 and wrote a love song to a local lass, Charlotte Hamilton - "The banks of the Devon". A beautiful gorge walk which takes less than an hour and is well off the usual tourist track. The place is aptly named due to the noise of the water as it rushes through the gorge. In wet weather the paths can get a little muddy but you can get by with normal footwear. Not suitable for wheelchair users. The... More
