I loved the tour & sampling at the end. The distillery is small, but they really give you an excellent idea of how their whiskies are made, and give you a great change to taste them, and purchase at a discount.

This is interesting place to pop in if you're in the area. The whisky is lovely and smooth. If you're not a fan it may even covert you

We saw this and thought, well why not? It was so worthwhile. There is an exhibition to go through first and then a guide meets you and take you round the place and explains the whole process. Our guide was excellent, so knowledgeable and no question was a problem for her. We saw the process from barley to bottle and... More

We frequently drive from the North of England up to Edinburgh, passing the signs to this attraction, and at last made the time to visit! We weren't disappointed! Our small party of 3 had the undivided attention of our very knowledgeable tour guide, who explained the complete process as she escorted us around. A fascinating place, in a lovely location.... We were lucky as hell to visit this one. It was January, and just arrived as the shop was closing for the day, but still managed to persuade them to give us a tour. So while the staff prepared, we saw their wee exhibition, which at least sets the scene, and then off to see the distillery. The tour itself... More

Easily reachable by bus and a two mile walk, this is a very sweet (albeit large) distillery outside Edinburgh. It is a little pricey for what you get but if you take the scenery into account then it's totally worth it. Wouldn't recommend taking the additional tasters as this costs 5 pounds more and you are only getting a sip... More

Booked a private tour for my husband for his birthday. He's really into his whiskeys whereas I'm not that keen however the tour was superb and a great experience. Our guide John was so friendly and knowledgeable - he explained everything really well and made sure none of questions was left unanswered. I read an earlier review which gave a... More

Friendly guide who gave us a good tour with lots of information. The tastings were of a good size and they let you take your time. We had the place pretty much to ourselves. So no complaints really, but I give it a mediocre rating because unless you're a whisky lover, don't expect too much of it. It's a small... More

Stayed at Colstoun House in East Haddington and they arranged a tour of this nearby distillery. Cannot say too much about how interesting the tour was for all of us that were visiting. This is one of many of the distilleries owned by Diageo and the whiskey produced there is used in Johnnie Walker Scotch blends as well as producing... More
