We have been wanting to go for years but always remembered end June or later - too late for the "must see" azaleas and rhododendrons. The displays are fantastic, stunning banks of colour, Augusta weep your heart out. Allow for a full day and leave when your feet give up.

We visited Exbury Gardens and had a great day, the garden was at its best with so much colour and scent.. The ride on the steam train was an extra bonus , you can spend hours just walking and sitting enjoying different vistas , ponds, trees and wildlife. A bonus being offered was if you payed for entry to the... More

Visited on 23rd May 2012 and spent just over four hours strolling around the grounds and a trip on the steam railway. We decided to do the River Walk which gives excellent views of Beaulieu River and the boats. Weather was excellent and we had taken a blanket so spent a good hour just watching the boats go by and... Stunning at this time of year and we picked a nice sunny day which helped. Only disappointment was the Rockery which is being redeveloped and been subjected to somevery drastic pruning

A pleasant stroll for an hour or so amongst some interesting and exotic species. A trip on the steam train is extra though..

I just love visiting Exbury Gardens in May each year. The azaleas are just stunning. The gardens are so well kept & lovingly tended by a small army of gardeners. It is so peaceful wandering around the tracks. I enjoy taking a picnic & sitting on a bench overlooking the Beaulieu River. I never tire of going. The lovely little... More
