From the first phone call to enquire about hiring through arriving, getting aboard, and liaison with the Sally team during the trip, everything was perfect. The boat itself was well built, in good condition, well maintained and clean. We were given the level of training we needed, without being patronised. Two of us hired a 4 cabin boat for a... More

I went on the Kennet & Avon canal with 5 friends in a narrow boat holiday. The stretch of canal it self was marvelous and we chose the right week to go having beautiful weather, we called in at lots of pubs beside the canal and had very good meals in all. My grumble is with Anglo-Welsh narrow boats, we... More

My wife and I just love the Kennet & Avon Canal. My wife is disabled, so she's always in a wheel chair or on front of our wheel chair bike. However, the state of the tow-path on recent visits, particularly between Devizes and Bradford-on-Avon, has been appalling. It's made our usual journey almost impossible! The deep and rugged holes in... More

Super service, boat very complete and clean. Very easy going staff and good comminucation. I did everything via email and that was already a smooth way of doing so. I can certainly recommend Sally narrow boat hire, you won't be disappointed. This was our first time but not our last, thank you Sally narrow boat staff.

The National Cycle Network is a wonderful help for a foreigner. I wish the NCN were a little better marked since I missed turns occasionally and ended up wandering around until I linked up again. This wasted a lot of time.

We recently completed a week long narrow boat holiday on the K&A canal. There were a total of 14 of us...three generations, from age 7 to 84! After considering all the narrow boat rental companies, we chose Moonraker Canalboats. We are SO glad we did! Their boats are 10 feet wide (3' more than most) which makes a big difference... More

We walked along the towpath from Kintbury and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Well maintained towpath and quiet tranquillity with beautiful surroundings and the occasional pub to stop at.

Without question Sally Narrowboats are the best hire company we have experienced. Attention to detail is obviously their motto. The boat was 100% both in presentation immaculate cleanliness equipment supplied and maintainence. The detailed well prepared and interesting introductory briefing left no questions or doubts unanswered for even the complete novice. On top of all this they were user friendly... More

4 of is and 3 dogs went along the kennet and Avon canal and enjoyed our trip, we planned and crammed in too much so was not a relaxing hoilday. Caen hill is very hard work, and some locks are heavy. But over all a goo holiday

Eight 'senior' canal boaters hired a craft from Anglo Welsh and were served by the Sally Boats staff . Our welcome at the Marina was friendly and professional, and after cars were parked and the paperwork completed, the crew boarded the 10 berth 70ft Derwent. For those not in the know, those of the crew who prefer their own sleeping... More
