Grounds beautiful with various walks to do. Didn't visit the house on this occasion but did visit The Stable Tea Room. Best Afternoon Tea we have had and we've had a few. Fresh sandwiches with good choice of filling accompanied with Quiche, Salad, Sausage Roll, Cream Scone and piece of home made cake. Good pot of tea with plenty of... More

Recently visited here, we were camping out on the caravan park, and took a nice walk up to the hall, defiantly worth a visit! It's was £7.30 each but we got discount because we where staying on the camp site so it was £10 for 2 of us. Lovely people giving lots of information!

On holiday in the East Riding we selected this Hall for a half day this Saturday . This was too short. An impressive collection of items and some unusual scientific exhibits and, of course, the whale. Amazingly quiet surroundings with only sounds of birds and sheep. House stewards incredibly friendly and informative. Visitor numbers seemed low but made for a... More

Last Monday I took some friends to visit Burton Constable Hall. Despite the fact that this beautiful location is almost on our doorstep, it had probably been about fifteen years since we had last visited. I was immediately struck by the changes that had occurred, one of these being the Caravan Site which is just located close by and of... More

Visited on a gloomy sunday, although it was too cold to have a proper walk around the grounds we enjoyed food and drinks in the cafe and then went around the house, the rooms are stunning! Volunteers are at various points to answer any questions. Really enjoyed our day here and we look forward to coming back in better weather... More

The cafe, The Stables, were nice inside with plenty of outside seating aswell. It's also dog... More

We've been a few times but most recently we went on Easter Sunday and saw the immense change in the place. They've had a lottery grant and have done so much work to the place it is so much more interactive and interesting now.... All it needs is a small adventure playground for the kids and they'll be fighting off... More

I have been to this house several times. It always makes for a pleasant afternoon and it is nice to stroll around the grounds.
