Stunning beach

The beach is so beautiful.. The water is clear and clean and the sand is white and fluffy!! If you go to this beach go to the Madeariman bar. The people are lovely and friendly!!

We were a party of four, and decided to island hop from our base in Dutch Sint Maarten to Anguilla. Like many, we took the ferry from Marigot, Saint Martin round trip. The ferry cost was $20 U.S. pp each way, and the Tax was $5 U.S. pp from Saint Martin, and $8 U.S. pp from Anguilla. We hired a... More

Shoal Bay East is still the best. Must see it to appreciate it. But hurry - change is on the way with some unsightly and ill-conceived developments set to open soon.

The beach is as beautiful as people say. The snorkeling is good. There are a few restaurants beach side that cater to day trippers. If this is your destination, take a direct cab. If you're more adventurous to see a few other beaches as well, try a rental car or Maurice's Excellent Tours.

This place has to be experienced to be believed. The photos are all beautiful, but do not do this place justice. Shoal Bay is a one of a kind beach. Powdery white sand that does not get too hot to walk on barefoot. STUNNINGLY turquoise water that is crystal clear. Beach bars and umbrellas scattered along the beach. It takes... More

The beach is perfectly located with postcard view of mile long sandy beachfront for a quiet afternoon. Beware of Rastaman running the local parking lot, not the friendliest person on the island.

We actually were staying in Saint Martin, which is nice and all but I made my hubby take us on a day trip to Anguilla. I had no idea that I was about to step in heaven! We had to take a ferry from St Martin it was about a 20 min ride a little choppy and scary but as... More

One of the most beautiful beaches I have been to - beautiful sand and water with a constant breeze. It also offers a few nice beachside cafes, a must see.

Scheduled through Exquisite Water Sports and excursion by Aqua Mania Adventures. Very good excursion. The reason not five stars is that the snorkeling comes with minimal instruction and you have to push for it...if you have glasses, you need to buy or rent your own prescription goggles. Lots of travel time - first from St. Maarten (Simpson Bay) to Anguilla... More

We read all the reviews and decided to take a day trip from St Martin. We rode the ferry over from Marigot and caught a cab to Shoal Bay. It is as wonderful as described in these reviews. Beautiful clear blue water with fish jumping and a powder white sand beach. We had free chairs and had lunch at Hanks... More
