This is truly a beach to experience. We arrived via an easy cab ride. This beach has an unbelievable view. In fact, I took several pictures of it and sent it to friends at home, who thought it looked so pristine, they initially thought it wasn't real! The beach is that spectacular. The sand is white and like powder and... More

We took a cab over and he stopped at the top of the hill for a view of the beach before we went... Wow! Turquoise water and white sand- ahhh! The beach itself was quiet and calm. There are a couple beach shacks near to get drinks if desired. The day we went there were a lot of waves and... More

We spent a day here while staying in St. Maarten. We took the ferry over to Anguilla (18 min. ride - $20 pp plus departure taxes and a cost for something else that I can't remember). Don't forget passports and tickets before you get on the boat. There is a booth for taxi's when you get off and you tell... More

The Beach at Shoal Bay East is clearly one of the finest in the world-- a couple of miles of white powder--hesitate to call it sand. Beautiful azure water and coral for snorkeling off shore. Plenty of Lounge Chairs and Umbrellas at Elodia's, Tropical Sunset and Hank's. Never crowded so you feel it is your own beach. Add a couple... More

The trip to Anguilla was one of the highlights of our vacation to St Maarten and I would defiantly recommend adding it to your itinerary. The most cost effective way to get there is via the public ferry. The operators are very friendly and the trip is about 20 mins or so. If you take a taxi from your hotel... More

This was the best beach that I've ever been to. The sand was white and the water was blue, what more can you ask for? It is a quiet beach and very clean as well

We took the ferry from St Maarten's to Anguilla. When we got off the ferry you are approached by the cab drivers once you have gone through customs. Be very careful. We were told to go to the dispatcher which we did. We told the dispatcher that we wanted to go to Schoal Bay beach. The dispatcher gave us a... More

The water was a beautiful blue green and the sand fine and white. The beach became busier as it got closer to noon. There was a charge for chairs and umbrellas in front of some restaurants while they were included with meal at others...don't be pushed into a decision until you check out your options!

We took a day trip to Shoal Beach and were so happy we didn't listen to the people who said this trip wasn't worth it. The views were stunning, sand and water pristine, and the waters were calm. From what it sounds like there are a few days a month when it's rough, but we were there on a calm... More

Lovely couple hours spent here during our day-trip from St. Maarten. Sand is white with a bit of a grain to the sand. Ocean waters gorgeous. Appears you can walk on the beach forever. Loved our time here.
