Lovely couple hours spent here during our day-trip from St. Maarten. Sand is white with a bit of a grain to the sand. Ocean waters gorgeous. Appears you can walk on the beach forever. Loved our time here.

We were in St. Martins and did a day trip to Anguilla; visiting Shoal Bay. We have stayed in several places in the Caribbean, and can honestly say I have not seen a more beautiful beach. The water was calm on the day we were there. It was perfect; so much so that we questioned if we were in a... More

Relaxing & Beautiful! I caught the Marigot ferry in St. Maarten and spent a few hours in Anguilla to have a peak at Shoal Bay. I had heard from locals that it was a beautiful beach with white sand and crystal blue water. They were right, it's breathtaking. My only regret is that I didn't have my snorkeling gear with... Though we had trouble finding it, this place was breathtaking. The blue of the water was beyond description. The white sand could not have been prettier. Madeariman was a wonderful restaurant on the beach. Really hated to leave (but found our way back easily!😉

This is probably the best beach I have been to of the 50+ countries i have visited. Great water, really white sand and good restaurants.

I could see why this beach is named one of the best beaches in the world. With shades of blue that is mind blowing. It was easy to find if you rented a car. I was a day tripper to Anguilla from St Maarten and the day that we had gone, OMG - the water was very rough, so we... More

Shoal is a must see when you visit Anguilla. I've seldom seen such an amazing beautiful beach....no high rise, only simple beach bars like Hanks!

I come every year so I'm writing mostly because I was surprised about write-ups about the rough water. A lot of these reviewers seem to be day trippers. We stay about ten days and would say rough water might be 25% of the time at most. My only complaint about SB is the day tripper crowds. But if you stay... More

This has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and I have travelled to multiple Caribbean islands. It looks exactly like one of my favorite Thai beaches, but it much closer. The water is so clear and sand is soft and white. There appears to be quite of bit of construction going on, so I hope... More

I had really high hopes heading to Shoal Bay. I had always heard it was one of the best beaches in the world, but I was a little disappointed. Yes, the color of the water was beautiful and the sand was like powder, but I have definitely been to nicer beaches (Palm Beach in Aruba is nicer, as is Mullet... More
