Beautiful beach, lots of good restaurants, good snorkeling and a great walking beach. Definitely make sure you stop here when in Anguilla.

No wonder people say it is the nicest beach in Anguilla. Actually it is rated one of the best in the world I think. We just stopped by to have a swim but ended upstaging the whole afternoon. Amazing color of the water. Clean beach. Beautiful sand

Just stunning. And quiet. My husband and I went to a place called Hank's which offers free chairs, umbrella and wifi if you order lunch. We were the only ones there, it was like our private ocean front paradise! Their piña coladas are top notch and the lobster avocado salad and curry goat dishes blew my mind. This is the... More

Immaculate beach with soft white sand and strikingly clear blue waters with a natural reef close to the shore. Great for snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing. The beach was not overly crowded and there are restaurants available. We packed our own lunch and drinks and rented a beach chair $10 when we got there so that was all we spent. Rated... More

Purchased an Anguilla day tour from Viator (approximately $119.00). We boarded a speedboat that took us to the island and after clearing customs, met our guide and boarded a bus for a quick tour on the way to Shoal Bay beach. We arrived at approximately 10:00am. The beach is pristine. There were only a few people there so we had... More

This used to be one of Anguilla's best beaches but the water is rougher. Not too many people were swimming here when we visited. Gwen's has had to move due to the water taking over that side of the beach. It's not as spectacular as it once was but beaches aren't the same each year so maybe next year it... More

Shoal Bay beach is changing. Upper Shoal Bay is now gone, and the waves there are eating real estate at about 10 ft. a year. Shoal bay proper is not dramatically changed, but some of the sand from Upper Shoal has found its way there, and the slope of the beach to the west of Elodia's is steeper. Plus the... More

What does on say when reviewing one of the worlds greatest beaches? The first comment might be to temper expectations, nothing in this world is perfect and neither is Shoal Bay East. However in terms of beaches in my experience it is absolutely wonderful! Sand Quality: although the sand does change slightly from east to west fundamentally all of the... More

This is truly a beach to experience. We arrived via an easy cab ride. This beach has an unbelievable view. In fact, I took several pictures of it and sent it to friends at home, who thought it looked so pristine, they initially thought it wasn't real! The beach is that spectacular. The sand is white and like powder and... More
