Brilliant well worth a visit - even a bar there and snacks - reached by a small boat ride from the main Island if it's a hot day take plenty of sun block.

Go in the morning to avoid the hot sun since there are no shade trees around. Bring lotion or a hot since there are literally no shades to shield you from the sun. Very beautiful view.

We arrived Camiguin and stayed at Puerto De Sol whish is in walking distance from the port where you get the pump boats going to White Island. We left the port at 4:30PM and it is just a 10 min ride to the island. The cost was P495 and it was a private ride for us. The boat waits for... More

This is a c-shaped sandbar. And this is paradise. We came in during the off-season, and we literally had the island to ourselves. Imagine clear waters, white sand (though not as fine in Boracay), bright sun, blue skies and a nice view of the Camiguin island. In short, paradise. You have to pay 450 pesos for a boat to take... if you are planning to visit white island i would suggest very early morning or late afternoon because the sea is still quite and the sun is not so hot. be sure to bring with you so foods and drinks not available foods in the island, except a sea urchin they offer. it is a thorny sea creature that inside... Quite a distance and delving dark blue waters after, appeared the White Island. It was around 7:30 am when we arrived and the tide was getting high. We took some pictures of the beautiful scenery and swam in the clear waters for an hour or so. The bancas were provided by the LGU which can accommodate a maximum of 6... More

Been coming back here since the 80's with different sets of friends and family and the feeling of awe and wonderment is still the same. No fancy resorts, no posh accommodations; just plain, simple, unadulterated beach with its white sand and clear, turquoise water. Enjoying and savoring the island-sand bar with the other locals give you feelings of simple and... More

It's just a sandbar. It's visible during low tides. It could disappear during high tides. No trees or restaurants or cottages. Some people rent out a beach umbrella for a shade. This island offers snorkeling but not as good as Mantigue Island.

The White Island is quite accessible, esp. from the hotel resort that we stayed in(Dreamland Resort and Hotel). There are boats that you can reserve in advance so that you can go there first thing in the morning. The boat owners are quite helpful, they will require you to wear a vest for protection. Boatride ranges from 500-600php so its wise... More
