The closest to reach is from Aurangabad if flying in. About 110 km and takes 2-1/2 hours to drive comfortably one way. Stop to have 'vada pav' at Krishna's in Lasur, also known as "Delhi Point" as Delhi travellers feast on pakodas and chutney. Once in Shirdi, the human faith in Sai Baba is all too visible.

Nothings beats the feeling of coming close to your God. This temple offers the same for believers. But the place is too crowded. Do not expect peace as the place is crowded with worshipers and when you reach the samadhi, there will be people who would push you out of the mandir through the other door. If you can be... More

Went recently to Nashik again after 10 long years to visit sai baba temple.....still the same; no change at all. The crowd is well managed through lines, there is a VIP entry though. Takes on an average 1.5 to 2 hours for darshan but its worth the wait as you get the prasadam "laddoo"' after that. Felt blessed again after... More

Weekends & religious holidays are very crowded, please take enough precautions if travelling with elderly persons & kids. YOu may have to stand on queue for hours. But once you enter & infront of the baba's statue, will forget everything. Try to attend in the afternoon, so will get bit more time to be inside the temple...
